Did you get any error codes from the ECU?
But thinking of which, if plug in Haltech then become ok mean, your ori ECU has problem.
The one that you swaped in (same prob again 2/3 days later), also has problem.

u can try this. check the contact of socket near your TR power unit. there's one triangle socket (3-pins). this is normal problem in 4G93. i just simply direct the wire (don't use the socket anymore).

...maybe something related to ignition problem..or
..socket not properly fitted or loose ie ignitor or MAF socket...
or engine encounter excessive knocking or overheat and the ECU shutdown the engine

did ur car die while driving in excess hot condition...?

if it yes...my car also have that problem the RPM is going to be crazy then suddenly engine die..need to wait several seconds then restart, it works but it going to be " semput" and seldom black smoke is coming out from exhaust all the way.

I've change the MAF sensor 449 then the problem solved...
