Salam and hello,

I'm not too sure if everyone in this forum knows the existence of a FB page for Malaysian Skyliners. Personally, after being added by Pimpin, I feel that it is a good platform to host the skyline database. On top of that, it is much easier to schedule and plan any events among skyliners where we can see who is able to attend what not without having to maintain a list.

I guess other benefits would be photo/video sharing and the normal FB stuff. So if you have not joined, I encourage you to do so quickly.

Thank you.

I think its important to point out that the FB page was created months ago, in fact probably even since last year and was created by padi83 @ Paddy Padieka (Fazil Othman). Don't know when or why exactly he put me as admin, perhaps its my winning smile.

But I do feel that FB might be better for keeping in touch on a daily/regular basis and allows us an online domain to "talk cock" rather than have the ZTH forums all cluttered with rubbish like what Blood Red and gobiz had for lunch, etc. But at the same time, I've noticed that this has caused ZTH to pretty much come to a standstill.

It should not be one or the either because both to me are extremely important. ZTH is the first place anyone would go for anything to do with cars but at the same time you just cannot deny that FB is more efficient for communicating instantly and regularly. And of course, friends of friends, etc end-up seeking the FB page out. This seems to be working for the long-stagnant RE Club who are getting to be more active as of late especially after creating their own FB page. Either that or no one is just in the mood right now. It happens, lulls and peaks.

Lastly, I think its time to get the Skyline owners contact list updated. The list was created during the mega gathering in Putra Heights last year. Speaking of which, the mega gathering along with the yearly 'F5' of the owner database is something I propose be done at least once annually.
