When driving the car , u slow down the car speed and try reaccelerated the speed suddenly the car engine since to loss power and suddenly repower again. What is the problem? Plug,distributor ,plug cable all check still can no be solved :confused_smile: :confused_smile:

i had this problem as well. solution? replace the fuel filter. it costs around 60 bucks for a new one. while you're at it, it's a good idea to get the injectors cleaned as well.

and about the instrument cluster, try going to padang jawa autoparts. they're located in klang(sungai rasa), near puspakom. i saw them dismantling a cb6 halfcut, heard they're breaking it down to be sold separately.

My car F20A now got problems le. The RPM up and down like crazy until the extend that i cant drive it coz when idling mode shoot up to 2500 rpm :( Went to mechanic mentioned about manifold bocor?? I do suspect at first the idling valve. So how la? 2nd problem,engine oil leaking. Now cant control it anymore. White smoke dah keluar from the car. My ques:
1) If want to overhaul,whats the estimated cost?
2) Let say i want to swap with H22A, halfcut cost how much? Need to also change the gearbox as well?
3) H22A fuel consumption better than F20A?

Pls advise asap

Best way is mod to H22A if u overhaul n change gear bos the cost is higest already mod it to H22A is best way .... more powerful n low fuel consumption that F20A ........!!!!

H22a Rm550+ only.. (cant remember, although I have 2 H22a in the driveway )

F20a/b is around 300++.. not much difference anyway.

there are 4 types of F20B

F20B SOHC non-VTEC (from CD4)
F20B SOHC VTEC (CF4 VTS)
F20B DOHC VTEC (CF4 SiR)
F20B DOHC VTEC (CF4 SiR-T)

price? drop by a halfcut shop near you to get the latest on pricing.

* FYI .. as u said F20A twincam having 150HP. is it on engine HP or on wheel HP? i dont think stock F20A twincam having 150HP on wheel.

* FYI .. stock H22A is rated from 190HP-200HP-220HP. That is on engine HP. stock ON WHEEL HP on H22A is rated from 165-175HP (on AUTO). Manual should be more.

as what u said F20A is rated at 150HP,its the HP on engine and on wheel HP is only not more than 100HP or less than that.

dont forget that there is F20B Dohc VTEC (blue top cover). its also powerful,but more people go for H22A rather than F20B.

F20A VS H22A = u said that "vtec only the differences,with the same 150HP"? i dont think so dude. if F20A is more powerful than H22A,all those guys would crazy to go n use F20A rather than using H22A dude! :mouth_closed:

well.. there nothing much i can say about f20a... but as far i know when i'm using the f20a Dohc with some modification... i can get the more horsepower and more torque when the f20a dohc head and block with skunk2 cam pulley and down below inside the engine is f22b sohc vtec (crank change to skunk2 crank). as far i know when i send my f20a dohc for a dyno on 2005 (quite long) i can get 215HP with torque 170 (without E-Manage).

who said F20A is not powerful...? even the new mitsubishi GTR and F20B Sir-T i can beat!!!!

never underestimated the F20A if u really don't know what u can do with that engine. try search and learn from the craziest foreman that can build anything from unpower to powered engine. ex: malaysian kancil can put a turbo inside.
