To those who are familiar with fuel regulators, what is the ideal fuel regulator pressure for a 4G63? Currently mine is set to 30psi for 0.9bar. Is that too low/high?

normally with stock regulator. engine start with vaccum is 30psi. try to plug off the vaccum hose should bring u to 40-50psi.
turbo 13psi boost will bring u to 55+psi fuel pressure.

if u set to 30psi with vaccum , it just close to the stock pressure.

thanks for the tips, it was a bit low previously ie. 25psi the mech was right in adjusting it higher to 30psi.

There is no hard and fast rule about fuel pressure.

Many variables such as injector duty cycle, fuel pump pressures, fuel rail diameter, fuel filter conditions will play a part in diallling in the correct fuel pressure.

2 engines with similar mods and similar setups might have different fuel pressure requirements based on the air/fuel ratio reading.

However, I think the rule of thumb is to keep fuel pressure as high as possible (not to the extent of jamming the injector spintles and rupturing the fuel lines)

Fuel delivered under hi-pressure allows for better fuel to air atomization.

that should be during boost, on idle the stock pressure is approx 30psi, but as joeker mentioned it all depends on your setup and your a/f ratio reading. If any changes to injectors, fuel pump, MAF etc the settings would change also.

if u have stock injectors, stock turbine and everything stock u can follow the manufacturer's spec. for vr4 `stended kilang' the pressure will be around 39psi. unless if u have upgraded anything the pressure will be different

yes that is during full boost, at idle should be approx 30 psi for stock specs.
