My air cond currently intermittently would stop working, especially when hot.
Honda Service Center informed that the magnetic clutch and coil was faulty and would cost me RM1600 to replace.
Anyone with a recommendation for an air cond shop I can do it locally?
A shop near where I live in Serdang, Selangor informed that they are unable to source original Japan parts and only have replacement Magnetic Clutch & Coils from China. Reading online, there are shops which replace with Sanden/Denso parts. Looking for recommendations on shops which have the parts and have done this before.

Any information much appreciated.

Thank you.

from my exp,the magnetic coil is fine.
problem lies on the worn out clutch causing too much gap which makes the clutch too far to be grab by the magnetic coil.

Outside job will cause less than 800 if u are to replace the clutch and coil only.if u replace the compressor too the price wont differ much.thats how aircond shop does business.

if your compressor internal is worn out and it has become noisy then i suggest replacing the compressor.

i exp this failure on my waja and aircond shop quote rm600 for compressor replacement complete with labour and gas refill.my aircond is still cool its just that the clutch does not engage sometimes.

what i did was removed the clutch and mod it so that the gap is back as usual.i manage to solve the problem for now.
