Driven by Markus Winkelhock, who is also a racing driver that led the Audi R8 LMS Ultra with his team to a victory at the recent 24-hour race at Nurburgring, he was impressed by the E-Tron’s sporty characteristics like the low center of gravity and the rear-biased weight distribution. And like most of the electric cars, he was also astonished by the torque that the motors generated.

The Audi R8 E-Tron is one of Audi’s great creations in the pursuit of finding alternatives for petrol in automotive performance. It is powered by two electric motors in which both produce an electrifying 308hp/230kW with 820Nm of torque. And with that power, 0-100 is dealt at just 4.6 seconds and goes to a limited top speed of only 200km/h; although during the record run, it was allowed to go up to 250km/h.

With a full charge, Audi claims that this new electric car could cover a distance up to 215 kilometers, and the batteries could be charged by its energy recovery system during coasting and braking.
