Hello all, i am new here. Just would like to ask question here.

I am interested to get either a stria or wira with the 4g91 engine. so i want to know if this engine has a lifespan? cos i realised most of the engines have gone thru total km like 140k - 160k km and i am intending to use the car for the next five years. any one can enlighten me here?

bro, i use the 4G91 engine for almost 5-6years, until now it still in a very good condition, according to my opinium, these engine can stand for very long, i u scare the engine have problems, u can overhaul it. i'hv overhaul it once, cause of accident, radiator crush, gasket burn, did some normal upgrade on it 2 years back, pnp, metal gasket, light weight crank pulley,etc... results was great.

4g91 rocks! go for it! but if you want power go for mivec =D

these are the problems u gotta look in when getting a 2nd hand car......
standby some $$$ to get the engine running at its optimum performance...

guys! i met this mechanic yesterday and he said i should use 4g92 sohc pistons in my 4g93 block. he said higher compressions and he said if i use 4g93 pistons my hp will decrease. currently running 156 horses he said if i insert the 4g93 block it will drop to 120 :s how :s

92 piston is higher compression but mivec is definitely highest among other 9x series pistons...
but i doubt ur hp will drop tat much...how would he knw hw much hp will drop?now ur car have 156 hp?on what specs?

he said if i use my mivec pistons there will confirm me knocking :s 156 with skunk2 intake manifold 70mm, mivec throttle body, adjustable cam pulley aerospeed, crankshaft mivec, piston mivec 81 mm, original 4g91 block rebore to 81mm, cylinder head made bigger, perdana flywheel skimmed, 1.8 camshafts from putra, piping all 2", sard fuel regulator, rim size 15 inch, i got no management though. looking for one now :s but yea thats it i think :s dont know if i left anything out. clutch i using 1.6 satria one and gearbox standard 4g91

u achieved that figure with those mods?where did u did ur dyno...i'm seriously impressed...wonder how much hp my car will get la like tat

my mechanic took it to his friend in shah alam. haha yours sure 200+ got evo 3 :s. but dunno la i didnt actually see the dyno sheet. my mechanic said 156 so i just took his word but seems believable cause he showed me his 4g93 satria had 179 hp =.= dunno what he do. hope so too bro =D just worried bout the pistons now. cause mechanic said if i use mivec pistons with 4g93 block sure got knocking.

well,i was talking bout my 93 engine....because highly tuned 91 I see would only achieve 160++ hp and lets not forget bout torque anyways...so for ur 91 to get 156hp from those mods is quite admirable...well,diff dyno machines give diff readings anyways...

i need some assistant here. i don't know if this is the correct forum to post here. but i give it a try. i have satria 1.5 uk spec and running using auto gb. recently it have blown its gearbox and i seeking in replacement. What type of modal or brand should i get. If it is possible i kinda need it fast and cheap ( budget maaa.. middle of the month) ..

hi there, i just bought a wira 4g91.fuel consumption ard 300km full tank ( town drive).
i have few prob with my car,power kinda sucks and when air cond on,the car seems to be drag alot power.n when the condenser heat up my rpm will go crazy.
any idea on how to improve this kind of prob.thx.

I've been looking around miri. None of the shop is selling this part.
How about in KL? how much this item cost?
