Ya. I agreed with bro arrowhead. Even my previous 4AGE BlackTop stock can get 146HP on wheel. I think your friend B18CR engine confirm got problem already. Coz 1 of my friend B16B also can get 175HP.

I've change my FD from 4.7 to 4.4 already ... is it true if change into B16B cam with spoon ECU will gain a few more HP and at the same time better FC also if compare to stock ECU and 18cR cam... BTW ... since my setup not yet in order ... I'm not dyno it yet ... but if reach 195 hp ... I'm smile ready :proud:

Hi cad843,

Why change your FD from 4.7 to 4.4? I thought normally ppl will only change from 4.4 to 4.7?

Just dyno my B18CR today.

Mine is B18CR with B16B cam. 2.3 piping with Mugen airbox & 5Zigen 4-2-1.

Got 175HP on wheel & torque is 17.59 on dynojet. Is this normal figure for my setup or way too low for B18CR with B16B cam?

Just want to know how big the difference between B18CR & B16B cam?

And also I have been advised not to use fully syntethic engine oil for VTEC & recommended to use semi-syntethic. What's all sifu comment?

My foreman said because fully systhetic for VTEC, engine oil will burn easily & engine oil easily can becoming lesser & lesser & always need to check engine oil. But semi-systhetic is thick enough. Please correct me if I am wrong...

Just changed my oil from Helix ultra to Mobil 1 (both Fully syntethic) . Same viscosity (operating) just that the winter reading is different. Last time 5W-40 now 0W-40. Mobil 1 feels lighter & my valve lifter sound is lesser compared to the previous oil. Using a DC5 typeR.

Vtec can't use fully syntethic?

VTEC can use fully syntethic. Just that my foreman said it's because of the oil is too thin & VTEC is high rev engine. So the engine oil will burn out & engine oil will be getting lesser & lesser & every 2 3 days need to check the engine oil is everyday u open VTEC...

Hi Guys,
my latest project is finally nearing the last stage. The car has been in and out of the workshop for the past year at least. Now, every piece of hardware that I can think of has been either replaced or upgraded. Now comes the final part... Tuning. So far, I have yet to decide on what to use but due to the restriction on my transmission, I'm opting out stand alone. I would like to have everyday drivability and smoothness and target about 350WHP. Sifus, any advise and comment will be...
