Vaughn Gittin Jr. pulls off logic-defying drifts for a living on the Formula Drift circuit and recently, the drifter-extraordinaire hit the deserts of Saudi Arabia for a drift festival in his factory-sponsored Ford Mustang drift machine.

Right after the show proper has finished, Gittin Jr. proceeded to put on his own as the organisers allowed him free reign of the track to convert some of their petroleum supplies into rubber smoke.

“After we finished shooting and we were hot, dusty and dead tired we ended up putting on a impromptu drift day with some of the local's that came to spectate the shoot. I was teaching them how to drift, change tires, different techniques, and they were so pumped up. While there was no pro's to show us the ropes. It reminded me of when I first started, that smile that stays when you link your first drift and the genuine passion to get better and conquer the challenges,” said Gittin Jr.

The drifting, as always, is flawless, save for the few knicks on the Mustang’s rear bumper after shaving the plastic rails and the demise of a GoPro camera that was mounted to said bumper.
