Description:
Subaru Legacy 2.0 Turbo Touring Wagon Spec B Registered year 2009

A little bit about the Subaru Legacy BP5 (BP5 is the codename for this generation)

If you're looking for a nice and big family car, yet extremely powerful, lightweight, reliable, practical and comfortable. This is it.

There are basically 3 versions imported into Malaysia:
- Basic (Without McIntosh, 17" rims, smaller brakes, basic suspension no torsen LSD)
- Luxury (McIntosh, sliding panoramic roof, 18", bodykit, no torsen LSD)
- Spec B (McIntosh, Bilstein suspension, 18", torsen LSD, bigger brakes, no pano roof) - This is the one you're looking at.

My car:

Everything from factory is included. Every single carpet, bolt, nut, engine cover, straps, one touch button to fold seats, every single electronic, every thing is working perfectly. I even have the tonneau cover, the netting for the boot, full set of tyre changing equipments, toolkit and all. Buying my car gets additional stuff, emergency hazard foldable signal, portable tyre pump, a big metal steering lock to beat up rempits etc.

Upgrades:
Michelin Pilot Super Sport 18" brand new tyres used for only 6 months. How much per piece? RM1,555 per piece.
Ohlins DFV suspension, how much? RM12,000
Clarion in-car GPS/Bluetooth/Radio/DVD/Reverse Camera/500GB Harddisk
Engine and transmission condition - Full service records in Auto Enginuity Subaru Specialist. I change gear oil every 40,000km, engine oil every 5,000km, no skipping. Mechanically my car is perfect.

If you guys know me and searched through my records, I'm the idiot who fixed my Audi A4 1.8T's knocking front control arm, softened rear struts, rewrapped leather seats, polished the entire car and pumped a full tank of Ron97 for the buyer back in 2009. Yes, I only buy cars that I love, and I only sell them like a loving father giving the best to his daughter on wedding day.

So what I've done for this Subaru in preparing it for sale? I've repainted the car entirely in its original color, I've refurbished the scratched original 18" lightweight Subaru sport rims, and once a confirmed buyer is ON, I'll rewrap the dashboard in leather (as the BP5 dashboard is prone to cracks) and the MOMO steering wheel's leather as well.

All these cost me around RM6,000.

No, I won't give an RM6,000 discount because that is against my principle to sell my cars in the best condition I can reasonably get, and paying someone else money to buy something is a bit hard to explain to my wife. So here you go, I'm selling at settlement value, which means I'm getting nothing back, and all is there for the buyer to gain.

The pics you're looking at is before the repaint. I welcome anyone to view, and I can drive the car out to fetch the prospective buyer around. No driving though, just in case (insurance). Lastly, for anyone who loves oldies, I have like 800 oldies in my 500GB hard disk.

Specs:
265hp / 343Nm
5-Speed Tiptronic
0-100km/h 5.7 seconds
Top speed 185km/h
No modifications, no removal of speed limit, no tuning, chipping, nothing. All original.

Equipments:
Electric folding mirrors
Isofix
Airbags
Reverse Camera
GPS
Bluetooth
DVD
Bluetooth Audio and Video (Watching YouTube in my car during jams is superb as audio is routed through the stereos)
SD Card/USB/AUX
Immobiliser

Bank Loan Status:
Banks still offering around RM72-75k and 6-7 years depending on credit rating.

SMS or Whatasapp me please.

I did some research about caldina. most people said, even though the car has powerful engine around 260bhp(if im not mistaken), but it feels like 200bhp. As for the legacy, BP5 seriously a rare breed though. Honestly, im in love with the car and im more like a speed demon hahaha
i saw the meter is up to 180km/h. is tht the top speed??

imported cars from Japan (or JDM) all have 180km speedo no matter how fast they can go

Hi guys, apologies as I couldn't seem to login earlier on. Hence the delay in response. The car is still available, I'm not taking deposits to be fair, but as of now 3 person has requested for documents for loan submission. Thanks for the great comments. !

Boodie from SCM, we never meet but so fast u wanna change car already...
Actually I've been trying to look for a 2008 BP5, and if found, I'd stick with it. I figured better to let go now and let someone with a budget for a Vios/City/Almera to have a chance of owning something better, where they might want to own it for quite some time. Cos if I don't sell it this year, whoever's interested next year might have problem getting a loan. I'm happy to drive it for another 3-4 years, but then I'm now working at the same office with my wife and we've just gotten a MINI, and our new condo only has 1 parking. So better let someone take care of this car while I continue my hunt for a S402 from Japan next time when I move to a bigger house.

I've been looking around for other wagons, but they're all crap. The A4/V60 is too small, Mazda 6 is underpowered oversized, 508 is ok-ish but handling can't match the Legacy, the A6 wagon drives like crap, and E250/523/8 wagon is useless in the rain, not to say underpowered and oversized too. And of course, the current generation Legacy is utter crap in terms of looks/build/quality/weight/no more frameless door.

It's a sad thing really as I couldn't seem to find a good wagon replacement in terms of reliability, handling, size and all round package as the BP5.

S402 is my last hope, if I get one next time, I'll keep it forever. That's why I've decided to put it up for sale.

My biggest realisation, coming from an Audi owner, is that I've learnt so much about Audis throughout my ownership, turbo fan blades, O2 sensor, bla bla bla ... whereas I learnt NOTHING about Subarus throughout my 2 year plus ownership. Nothing. And from now onwards if anyone's gonna preach to me about Toyota reliability, I'll just answer with Subaru. Because we have a 2005 Camry at my family home, and I was so surprised at how different is Thai-built cars compared to Japan-built cars. And of course, Subaru. Those who've come see my car were all surprised when I start the engine, let it settled, and ask them to sit in and see if they can tell the engine's running. Lol ... Boxer for the win!

Maybe next year they will bring in the 08 spec-b with paddle shifter n everything or even the S402. Well i was thinking next upgrade to be a S4 wagon but that's many years later, for now enjoying the ride...
