Toyota Yaris (also known as Vitz or Echo in some markets) also have sedan variation other than small MPV known as Verso.

the earlier Echo Sedan was targeted at students and youngsters who had just started working life in America and it was quite a success.

the Yaris we have now is the 2nd model and for Asean (where bigger is better) it is fitted with 1.5 litre engine. in countries like UK, the Daihatsu Sirion, Honda Jazz and Suzuki Swift as well as Toyota Yaris comes as a 1000cc supermini. sportier model also uses 1.3 engines only.

The Yaris Sedan is not a new thing. the name can be as different as Persona and Wira Or Sirion and Boon but apart from the badge, its all the same product.
