Next plan will be transferring the status indicator using fibre optic cable coz the LED is very small and hard to relocate and solder.

Can the router handle the inconsistant power supply from the car?

Can the router handle the inconsistant power supply from the car?

Using in-car usb adaptor charger (use for charge tablet/handphone) board might not give problem coz it only use 5v 1000mA.

nice diy.
for led you could use a normal size 3mm or 5mm and parallel / replace the existing one.
if for 5v power indicator you need a 100ohm resistor serie to the led.

Ya, plan like that before, but looking the pcb layout, not enuff expert to re-solder on tiny2 area like dat. What i mean is indicator for router (power on, wifi status, connecting status) not power status from switch to router.
