where to get 1.6cc Sohc Vtec?

anyone knows where can i get a good 1.6cc Sohc Vtec engine? or mayb some EJ driver wanna change to Bserries engine would like to seel his engine. my location is kuching. pm if got kang tau. thanks

You know ah bong, I want to tell you a story about a guy that bought a civic, and regardless of what I said, he refused to buy a B16A halfcut, and even when I told him that sohc 1.6 halfcut is the way to go, he figured that he'd save some money by buying the engine alone.. so he did..

And he transplanted the engine.. and it works... for a week.

Then the radiator leaked.. so he went and replaced that too.

Then the a/c compressor died.. so he spent money on replacing that as well...

and he ended up spending more than the actual halfcut that will have provided him with a spare a/c compressor and radiator.. not to mention a wiring harness that isn't butchered by local 'enthusiasts' that seem to like to wire things by twisting wire ends together.

And don't forget the fact that if you buy it from a mech, he can swap some parts on the halfcut for better ones if he finds them faulty.. sure, it's more expensive buying from a mech, but it pays in the long run..

That said, maybe can find one.. if a friend of mine swaps his engine.. it's not in the best of health though, as with any d series that is daily driven for years on end.

one good piece of advice... a fren of mine wanted a SOHC engine because of no budget... fine with that... made a deal with hattech since he said that he had a decent D15 from an EK3 complete with wiring + GB etc etc... but my fren tought the mech (who is a fren of a family member) was good

he trusted the mech who put in a D16 block in his engine bay and reuse everything... results... now got probs... he should have bought the engine from hattech...

errr... this is not really a good advice i think... this is promoting avantech heheh
