Why I choose ported coz less power need to whack the sub so amp will last a little longer :pwhat you can do is, go and listen to a setup with sealed box and then compare your taste with another setup with a ported box (the port tuned for SQ setup) and make your choice. I once believed in sealed until I met the right people who converted me to the dark side of the force ;) but then all these goes down to your own taste and feelings. In my experience sealed gives a tight feeling on the sub but not much ummph for my current setup (amp not power maaa... cap ayam only).
