just read a automotive text book in MPH, viscous LSD also uses clutch plate.

The difference between viscous and normal is that normal uses spring / cone spring or whatever physical, while viscous lets the clutches rubs the oil until hot then the oil thickens and starts to behave like very powerful glue and locks the clutch plates more and more towards the LSD casing, hence both sides starts to turn the same.

Special oil it is ...... cool.................. stuff.............

Yep viscous LSD still uses plates, just that they're not in contact with each other.

yeah...but still cant fight with helical.....viscous abit slow in response..you have to let it "slide" 1st b4 it work..this bcoz to let the oil get hot...

its a silicone oil...if we manage to change the oil to more thicker type..then the lag will be less noticeable....if only can find a way to pry open the container hehehe.....

anyway viscous is the no special maintainence LSD...i like that...hehehhe

thank you master sifu pendekar, zul.

silicon oil, yes that was the thing I read but forgot immediately after put the book back, sorry :( old already :(
