Hello all, I'm currently using a GSR Turbo with TD05H E3 turbo. Using E-Manage blue for tuning and running at 1.1 boost. I'm using E3 fuel injectors 510cc. Blitz boost controller.

I thougt of upgrading to higher topspeed. Curently I'm getting 210kh/h @ 7,000 rpm on stock GSR gear box. What's all the sifu's advice on this? Should I go for E3 gearbox? Or E1..E2 gearbox? Or just chg final gear ratio and add LSD?

What's the recommended boost? If I boost 1.5 bar, should I change the pistons and conrod...etc? What's the best brand to rojak it?

I'm using E3 2 pot front brakes and E3 single pot rear brakes. With bentax titanium king brake pads. But I feel it dosen't have enough brake power... What should I do? Change better brake pads? Or 4 pot?

change your final drive ratio....since u was already on the very edge of rev-cut..

not so sure....the easiest way maybe u can use evo GB....normally final drive ratio on market was close ratio (for quick acceleration)...maybe its hard to find ratio for topspeed....


change double layer brake servo and put all steel braided brake hose, help a lot
-yeah..safety always come first....(add also a "subtle" rollcage) <<design so jpj wouldn't see from outside of the car.... :driver:

Thanks sifu's! double layer brake servos... Is this expensive?

Can my pistons..etc with stand 1.5bar boost? Or 1.3?

better change it, coz afraid it cant withstand higher boost, stock gsr if not wrong only boost till 0.7....... u tune to boost higher is still ok, but not over, if u don wan change piston, just go for thicker metal gasket, for my car , i use supercharged piston so this is not a big issue for me, but i m downgrading to n/a soon... many turbo stuff to let go too :biggrin: anyway, happy modding turbo .......

the servo is not that expensive,around 200++ i get it if not wrong.... servo is still not enough,go for good pad too, modding car is not only concern about how fast u can go but also how fast u can stop too.... steel braided brake hose can be the last option if u are out of budget, but it will causes brake fade during emergency brake as the rubber hose will expand to side when high pressure applied while steel braided wont...

and bro, how is ur fc?? my mivec turbo only get 7km/L :bawling:

and also bro, get 4 disc brake before u changing those servo or hoses, if can do it together, if u already have it just forget what i say here coz i afraid u will think like me, last time when i just transplant the monster, i bought a 4 pot moded for wira and plan to leave 4 pot front and rear using drum :stupid: then the 4 pot just leave there for spider web after i get know the effect putting in 4 disc brake

Recently I just blow my engine because of a faulty oil pump. My mechanic change a NA block and modified it. He add oil squiter. I dunno can tahan or not this block..

If I do change super charge pistons, do I need to change the conrods, crank....etc?

How much is the Evo3 final gear ratio cost? Is it hard to get? What about LSD?

I get 200 to 230 KM with RM50. Now should be lower because Shell Ron97 just increase price!

N/A block with modded squiter should do its job equals to ori gsr-T block...unless the squirter was installed with bad workmanship....

-i don't think u should increase the boost again..just maintain current setup..otherwise u need to overhaul your engine again and change the internal parts....1.3bar was on the very limit of stock internal....1bar was spot-on...(including tuning)


-since u need brake upgrade why not u grab peterj's 4pot....peter instead of become spider web then sell to him leh... :driver: :burnout:

i put 1 pajero oil cooler and drive 100km/h - 120km/h without problem, water temp not more then 100...... mivec head is a bit hard to find with low price,same as the lsd also........ but after u fit in, it could be a monster like mine :burnout: but i m downgrading soon.... piston u should change together with conrod since the conrod also is lower n high to lower cp..... get a lsd 1st, dun care about the final ratio 1st, if can get a mivec gear box with lsd, the gear ratio is better then gsr........ more close ratio for good acceleration, gear ratio isn't a easy pnp job, it need to be carefully and consider suitability when put in, otherwise will like my fren's drag car, after put in testing, gear sudden jammed, after recover, during race day, after adjust clutch, gear cant go in :driver:

peterj thanks, I'll try to find a oil cooler and change that radiator to alluminum ones. Is Jasma Aluminum radiator recommendable? The rest seems expensive!
I've been seaching for LSD a loong time. But did found one Evo1 gearbox that comes with after market LSD. But everyone says GSR have better gearbox ratio. I think I'll countinue to search for LSD and and Evo3 final gear ratio. Someone quot me RM650 for final gear ratio...dunno it's expensive or not...
If a new LSD from Kaaz is recommendable? Any sugestions?

if jasma made in japan, i have no comment about it, but if others, i use before and 99% :banghead: oil cooler screw is not tight although fully screwed and put in seal tape..... leaking.. o0o local jasma...... even i go potong shop find a pajero oil cooler and custom hose fitting and screw is better and cheaper then it, cooler than tat also..... if drag i recomment u find mivec gearbox (i dunno wat difference between gen1 and gen 2 mivec gearbox but i currently using gen 2 mivec gearbox), gear quite close ratio , i can hear from sound, gt mivec gearbox originally come with lsd, c ur luck, i using mivec gen 2 (terbalik) in my wira chasis :driver: but dun ask me how i can do it :biggrin:

u got PM

I recommend using evo series gbox as a basis. Then u can custom the ratios from there.
Evo box is stronger coz made for 4wd use.

I hav one evo 1 rs LSD gbox bro.
It has a longer 1st and 2nd ratio while the rest is the same as evo 2/3's.
I'm personally using this gbox. I dont know the exact top speed (dont hav RSM)but i estimate around 250kmh at 5000-6000rpm in 5th gear. (i followed behind a BMW 5 series).

cruising is also A LOT better, now i can cruise in 4th gear at 4-5000rpm (>140kmh). And higher top speed in 5th. It wont be screaming in hi revs like when i was using GSR gbox.

My opinion only..

i know u might thinking of finding a final ratio only but here is some information i got.......remember bro, u cant have both at the same time, i mean u cant have good acceleration and high top speed at the same time by using the same gear ratio... u might get confused so i giv u an example (just my opinion,do correct me if i m wrong ok?)

drag cars always aim for close ratio for their faster acceleration, but, those gear will not hav high top speed as the non close ratio, and close ratio will roar when cruising since it is "kasar"

another most easy example is, all car 1st gear is close ratio gear, even u rev high the speed is still not that high rite? but acceleration is fast.....

so, choose which field u wanna in, 0-400m pick up or high speed cruising,but if u thinking of only wan to hav a good final ratio for high speed cruising, just go for it, but just take care of ur car and ur live :driver: ..... always remember the satria incident :burnout:

oh yeah, i remember a good example also, Japan had compared ek9,mirage cyborg r and levin long time ago..... in a comparison of accelerating from 1st gear to 2nd gear (till rpm 8200) ..... ek9 done in 8.16sec, mirage done in 8.32sec and levin done in 10.16sec ..... but both ek9 and mirage only have a speed of 86++ km/h at that stage but levin with slower time (slower acceleration) done with 101++ km/h ... this explained that ek9 ratio is closer than mirage so the acceleration is faster, but levin which gear ratio differ from that 2 (not that close) done pick up slower but reach a higher speed......

for lsd part, there is a lot of type, myself also din done all the research coz confusing, gt 1.5way, 2way, full lock, semi lock and etc... but in my mech layman terms, for me, 1 type of lsd which have no crak2 sound during u u turn of cornering is good.... but many ppl says full lock 2 way lsd is more gripper at cornering.... but i also dunno wat is that 2 way full lock :hmmmm: .... lastly just sharing my stupid experience here, last time gt ppl say at web that lsd engaged when u press on gas and make ur 2 wheel move together(dunno really gt that type of lsd or not) but mine, no crak2 sound and just discover, (when u jet up ur car and start at free gear ) ,lsd work full time and 2 wheel moving but mine can be stop... some ppl say full lock also moving while free gear but cant be stop.. dunno correct or not.... (sharing here, dun blame me if i 2 far away from topic :burnout:)

My mechanic says if full lock, when you turn one wheel, the other follow same direction. If semi LSD, you turn one wheel, it goes the opposite direction.

Dunno weather he's right or wrong. And about 2 way LSD....have no idea too..LOL

So far my plan:

Brakes...kawtim! (but still considering what pads to use)
Piston (will need to find 4AGE super charge ones)
conrod (just bought B18 ones)
Gearbox... still searching. (little confussed now!) lol

hurm... isn't vtec all high compression?? the conrod also high rite?? y dun just find evo or 4g93t?? i think it is not possible that it will turn opposite direction, if like that ur tyre burn already, i think i might stop and let other well pull it like car with no lsd... look more logic.. lol
