Unable to find answer for 96 and 99 civic. Please help!!!

anyway, i do face the headlamp poped out by 5-6mm as well; which im not happy with. all ori parts except the headlamp. and same problem like drewn123, the fender will misalign with the bumper after a while. headache... fitment problem. i have to adjust it at least once in every 2-3weeks.

Don't be a dickhead, people.

The headlights do pop out 5mm out of bumper. It's flushed with the hood and pop out 5mm at the bumper.

Just keep the 5mm rules on panel line then you are all set.

you have to make sure your bumper flushed with fender, so do u still need that bracket?

shawn, ur fitment is so neat until ants also can go throught the gap in between lol.
from the pic, ur headlamp looks like popping out by 3.5mm only nia.

btw, does the bracket help? i think i need that bracket too as i have the same problem.

I just measured it, it's 5mm jack.

All Sensei, my 96 ej was came with the 99 bumper but the rest are 96 including headlight, fender and hood when i bought it. For the grille, i am not sure whether 96 or 99.
Now I am thinking of change the bumper back to 96, but i just worry whether any mounting different between 99 and 96 which will not allow me to change it back to 96.
Sensei...any different between 99 and 96 mounting point?or both using the same mounting point? pls help me out of this!!!Cheers!

It's all the same from all years, Plug and play.

However, I have seen many people doing different shits when mounting 99-00 bumper on the 96 body. Some just cut the bumper horizontally around the number plate area to mount the lower portion of 99-00 on the existing 96-98 bumper. It's easier to change it back under such case, just plug and play back.

Some people actually use the 99-00 completely with 99-00 grille, but make some filling on the hood and headlights area to force the 99-00 bumper goes on it. If that's the case, you are doomed.

Do u means filling with fiber (cement alike thingy) at the gap between the headlight and grille + hood and grille to close up the gap?
If that is the case, anyway for me to change it back to 96 configuration?

For ur info, my current configuration have a big gap between the headlight and grille...

Oops...it is not a big gap btw headlight & grille but is the big gap btw headlight sharp edge (which pointed to the center of the car/grille) and the bumper upper side (which connect to the hood).
I noticed that the bumper, grille and hood are 99 whereas the headlight and fender are 96.
1. If this is the case, can I change back to 96?
2. Which is more cost effective btw buying 99 headlight, fender and bumper (was damaged) to make it 99 or buying 96 hood, grille, bumper to make it 96...?by the way i don't mind 96 look....
