Hi

if change tyre from 205 55 16 to 205 50 16 for civic 2.0 got problem or not

any pro n con:regular_smile:

there wont be much difference in reality.

by theory

1. you will lose slightly in terms of handling
2. body roll more pronounced
3. but you will gain in slight comfort.

for the looks alone, stick to lower profile tyres.:mouth_closed:

Actually zan i think u misunderstood...he is changing to 205/50/16 not from. :mouth_closed:

Anyway, beside the opposite of what zan mentioned. Your speed also will vary. Because the rolling radius has be deceased. It is better to get 225/50/16 instead.

wow..that is quite a lot...nearing the 2 litre car range of fuel consumption...

At least your Optra is not as bad as mine..

My Optra 1.8 can go 350 km for 50 litres of petrol. 100% city driving.. :(

because u use 17 inch rim la....
furthermore did u SPEED!!!

anyway i complaint to SC about this,....they will reflash my ECU again..and service the throttle body..

Zan and Jason Chan,
Wont changing to lower profile series tyres effect your ride comfort? A lower profile tyre will effect a harsher and rougher ride. Thats why manufacturers will always provide higher profile tyres as OEM for their cars.

Bros,
But we have heard that fuel consumption on Korean made cars are never on the low side as according to feedback from ppl driving these cars. Can anyone correct me if Im wrong?
