arturo...

speaking of this, I always have an unanswered question... Those trailers are so heavy and I believe they need really damn good brakes... Why do they all use drum brakes? I thought disc is always better? Provide more braking power, better response and all? :hmmmm:

I never heard people say drum is better... So why they opt for the less good ones?

veloc...from my understanding...only the front tyres run off discs. i saw once but doesnt seem all our local trailer heads run discs in front.. but for the other tyres, all use drums. drums are cheaper compared to discs n another thing...have u seen a trailer jamming the brakes? all the wheels at the back will lock up and skid...i work near a port so i see this very very often. empty or fully laden same case. so theres no need for discs at the rear when drums are already more then enuff to lock the wheels.

peterj...wanna upgrade to airbrakes? sure skid everytime u brake hahahha. not suan u la...showing respect to monster. if not later u angry with us n smoke us how? that civic...like i;ve seen b4...but cant recall where.

hmm...refering to topic, if wanna use twin pot its fine for 93',...but if wanna save weight and still have great braking power, why not change to 4-pot? if not mistaken, 4 pots are lighter that twin pots...from the back of my head i remember someone saying that...

Mayb is those aftermarket 4pot caliber, tat y lighter compare to OEM 2 pot

but after saw the price, u will feel 4 pot is heavier dy....:biggrin::biggrin:

i din simply smoke people, as i told u guys, i normally drive 80km/h only, only i meet those ass hunger that not hesitate to kiss my ass or those "bunyi macam ribut, kereta macam siput" car that blow beside me make my music in car unclear, then i will quickly run away from them :biggrin:

twinpot is really enough for u( thread starter ), get a good pads to have a good combination too....... even though for me still think not enough:biggrin::biggrin:

no, i m not strong, cause sometime(bad mood), i realise i drive unsafely also

maybe my ball not hard enough kot, just a 19 years oil kit that gonna turn 20 soon

if it involves comparing within OEM spec. 4 pots are never going to be lighter than 2 pots..
for instance..4 pot nissan R32..are much more damn heavier than 2 pot nissan W10. I've weighted both of them.

aftermarket kot pocket...wilwood?

Agree... Pads really do make a difference. Get a good one but be careful of the materials. Some of those ultra high performance, fade-resistant pads are designed to provide max braking performance, but will suffer a short lifespan and a lot of brake dust. You will have a hard time getting it off your wheels later on... Get the high performance but normal material ones..

yeah...probably my friends were comparing between oem to aftermarket...doesn't really make sense though to me as well...
