Thanks guy
i am using amp to power up it
now itz ok (used 3.3uF 100V capacitor and 47ohm 5W ceramic resistor)
now solving the rear site louder problem.
used the 8.2ohm 10W ceramic resistor to try
but the sound become front louder
so want to try 5R6, 3R3, 1R2 soon
add resistor parallel or series to the connection??

if u put it in series, doesn't the total resistance become 47 + 4ohm = 51ohm of total impedance loading to the amp or HU?

Yarloh, if want better control try to ue the HU to power it like I said ealier, if put resistor you are sending your amp to recycle bin faster only...

if i go to wangsa maju i call u up ya
u can feel itz totally different from last time u hear
but of cause the bass still cannot challenge with other ppl la
no woofer ma
n the rear speacker is still original
12" woofer == money $$$
wat to do :Not_Impressed:

haha..okok..let me hear it...great for u to setup urself using those component...usually only some experienced acc shop can do it...even some of those famous ice shop cant do it...great...teach me..hahahah

maybe add a pair of 8" / 10" at ur rear board...free air..that will suit ur listening type very well..
my fren do it on wira sedan..the sound are great..try it out..
make a piece of custom board for ur rear..more thick so the board wont collapse..

Reax Howie, maybe is because my amp is ayam brand one that time to retire, who knows? Maybe it happen together so my statement is wrong..

i also use chap ayam amp and add resistor to my rear comp set b4 ler..no prob at all..wat brand u use? i use autobahn...local made if not wrong..

sori 4 chipping in...juz 2 share my little know-how in audio (not car audio, but learned a bit of this when DIYing tube amp n speaker for home audio setup).
Add capacitor/condenser in series to tweeter as high pass filter to cut-off low freq (bass).
Add resistor in series to tweeter to drop the voltage supplying to tweeter, hence lower the volume as well as ringing noise. Do not add resistor in parallel, it may burn your amp output.
Adding resistor in series will make your amp to drive harder. Infact, this is what passive Xover circuit does.
Try using non-polarity capacitor (brand Solen, Wima MKP, MusiCap, Bennic, etc) for their sweet/transparancy sound character. If u intend to use a 47uF cap, then get two 22uF and parallel them as replacement. This could cut-off low freq yet less effect on reducing the dB level since the resistance of parallel cap are roughly 50% lower than single piece of 47uF. Besides, this improves transparency. If possible, use silver wires for tweeter...very sweet and clean sound. Try not to use wirewound resistor, sounds dry n noisy. Try to use carbon type (brand Riken).
BTW, I m frm Seremban, Tmn Duyung. But working in Singapore. My bro is a mechanic in Senawang, driving Wira with turbo-charged engine. Mayb u know him. Hope u don't mind I 'kaypo' here :)

nice to learn from u.... :D

no pblm Calvin, I m also reading this forum to learn new tips frm others. In fact, found some useful tips after hanging around here for an hr :)

which way direction should i face the tweeter? against the wind screen? or how? any idea how to play with tweeter in order to get more SQ?

If you can move your tweeter, then you need to prepare some double side tape. In tweeter positioning, there is no such thing as 1 direction fits all. You have to try it and see which direction you like it most. Normally the tweeter is on top of the dashboard, unless you put it on other place. First you can put it such it face you around 30 degree, or put it facing top. 1 thing that is important is tweeter sound cannot be overtake your speaker sound..

can start with pointing at opposite seats
eg) driver's side tweeter aimed at passenger's headrest....
from there u can play-2 la to which u think its best....
