So which brand of engine flush is compatible with Tufoil? or works effectively with it?Originally posted by FocalPoint@Nov 15 2004, 10:08
Some people flush their engines before using Tufoil. Others do not. In all cases, it is pefectly alright to use Tufoil.
We would like to suggest that after flushing with an engine flush, put in a light viscosity mineral oil like ACE 10W30 ( this is value for money!! ), intall new filter and run for 500km and then drain out oil completely. Install new filter and then put in your synthetic. This is the correct way to do things.
During the 500km run to remove remaining flush, do i need to use new oil filter or just use the old one and only change to new one after i pour in synthetic?Originally posted by FocalPoint@Nov 15 2004, 17:34
After using engine flush, there will alway be some remnants of this flush remaining inside the engine. It is good to introduce a low viscosity oil to get it out and after running for 500km, all should be out when you drain the oil. From experience, this oil though at 500km when you drain it, can be quite dirty!
Next, it is advisable to change the filter. Put in your synthetic and add in a bottle of Tufoil.
This is only a recommendation and not necessary that you ought to follow.
what i meant was to use a type of brand of engine flush to clear the previous mienral oil before i fill up with tufoil and synthetic oilOriginally posted by s0n1c@Nov 15 2004, 17:14
