I would like to flush the engine before putting synthetic oil since i was using mineral oil previously.

I am wondering whether the engine flush chemical will affect the performance of Tufoil afterwards?

Some people flush their engines before using Tufoil. Others do not. In all cases, it is pefectly alright to use Tufoil.

We would like to suggest that after flushing with an engine flush, put in a light viscosity mineral oil like ACE 10W30 ( this is value for money!! ), intall new filter and run for 500km and then drain out oil completely. Install new filter and then put in your synthetic. This is the correct way to do things.

So which brand of engine flush is compatible with Tufoil? or works effectively with it?

You mentioned that we should flush the engine and then put in low viscosity mineral oil and INSTALL NEW FILTER, run for 500km and then drain out oil.
INSTALL NEW FILTER and then put synthetic.

Can I confirm with you that I need to change filter twice as mentioned above??
And also, you didn't mentioned when to put in Tufoil in the above step.

if u wanna do engine flush why'd u need/want to put tufoil in?

after doing engine flush then you install new filter, put in your synthetic and then top up with tufoil.

After using engine flush, there will alway be some remnants of this flush remaining inside the engine. It is good to introduce a low viscosity oil to get it out and after running for 500km, all should be out when you drain the oil. From experience, this oil though at 500km when you drain it, can be quite dirty!

Next, it is advisable to change the filter. Put in your synthetic and add in a bottle of Tufoil.

This is only a recommendation and not necessary that you ought to follow.

During the 500km run to remove remaining flush, do i need to use new oil filter or just use the old one and only change to new one after i pour in synthetic?

Btw, what engine flush is good to use with Tufoil?

what i meant was to use a type of brand of engine flush to clear the previous mienral oil before i fill up with tufoil and synthetic oil

For the 500km run, it is advisable to use a new oil filter.

Depending on how clean your engine was previously, quite some of the loosened sludge would definitely be retained in the filter. You wouldn't want to run a car with a blocked filter.

We are not in a position to recommend you any brand for we don't sell them.

I understand that FOCAL POINT doesn't sell engine flush.....

but what i worry is that some engine flush might not be good in that it might contra any benefit i will get if the remnents mixed with tufoil.

so, you really don't want to recommend any brand?

Remnants of flush will go out with the oil that you use for the 500km run. So there is little likelihood of any contamination.

ok..

the first replied you mentioned to use ace mineral oil for 500km run with the vicosity of 10w30....

but i check out that ace also have 0w30 oil yesterday(don't know is mineral or synthetic)......
so which is better?

ACE brand oils come in 10W30, 10W40. I doubt it has a 0W30. Anyway, both 10W30 and 10W40 are suitable and value for money. Besides, they carry a API SL rating.
