Dear All,

I'm the newbie on the block and have currently acquired myself the wonderful liability of a rotary powered vehicle.

The dilemna I'm facing currently has to do with the TPS system.

My revs have a tendency to drop unaturally everytime I free the gear and coast along. It dips dramatically when I do not de-clutch. It actually drops so drastically, my engine stall/sputters. This is not entirely amusing.

I have been researching and understand that it may be a maladjusted TPS and have put it on myself to remedy this problem. I'll be sourcing for a digital multimeter and then testing it DIY style.

Just require some feedback from anyone who has encountered this joy and sorted the matter out

Many thanks in advance

its not that difficult. i've had a friend adjust it once and now i do it myself. the easiest way is to change out the bolts on tps to hexagon bolts which makes it sooo much easier to work with.

Thanks both of you,

I think mine is currently only adjustable with a screw driver.

Will fill you guys in on my attempts

I've experienced a similar problem as well on my old Lancer. When cruising on high way and when reach the toll gate I free the gear, the engine stalls. Happened very often almost a month ago now. Then one day the engine couldnt start at all. Turned out it was the Ignition coil and distributor faulty. Got them replaced and voila! it works perfectly well now. I know thats for Piston based, but while your at it, do get it checked as well. You never know.

Thanks mate,

I'll be taking your advice with that,

I intend to replace the current set of plugs, cables, replace the distributor.

They look pretty mucked up.

Any other pointers anyone?
