Tomei Expreme Ti - Loud sound !

My ride is using Tomei Expreme Ti Titanium, but damn loud until my GF also complaint.
Not only outside, but sitting inside also heard clearly.
I haven't try install silencer yet, but I don't think silencer will improve much.

Any suggestion to reduce exhaust noisy sound ? (except change other exhaust brand).

u using evo8MR sure must use loud exhaust. the louder the better, if u want quite exhaust get prius hybrid. haha

everytime she starts nagging,drop a gear and press the gas while kept nodding your head.
when she is done,shift up amd continue cruising.
makes one hell of an ad for exhaust.

btw,muffler will help but not much.

True. Most Evo that I've seen are loud except one IX that I saw before which uses HKS Silent Hi Power exhaust.

What they call in chinese as want to have 'face'. Even if they don't like the loud sound also I think they won't tell others. Imagine someone buying lambo for showing purposes but complaint about the exhaust volume? That sounds funny to me.

yup fatigue in long drive...
or even in normal non-spirited drive....


not sure about lambo, but certain cars have valve inside exhaust...
low rpm low volume...

Knowing some petrolheads, even though the exhaust setup and sound is OK, they will still meddle with the exhaust, until cannot tahan.....

And at the end, they contemplate install back the ori exhaust setup....:rolleyes:

I sit one 2 Evo before, one with Work exhaust, and other is HKS hi Power.
Work is damn silent, u don't even notice it a Turbo Evo car if u didn't press pedal.

i am using apexi n1 (h/cut,no money buy new) .. with full piping from cat till the end, 2 straight through muffler with jasma tag, sound minimal inside cabin, only sound louder when u rev,and the sound focus at the back not inside cabin

you can go search on youtube, they do have video with and without silencer comparison, for me with silencer already volume down a lot but u can hear obviously obstruction in exhaust flow.... if gf still complain, 3 option

1. change exhaust to more silent type

2. use/buy another silent car everytime to pick gf

3. change girlfriend

install the silencer... if u dont like it..

then get fujitsubo/fgk rm001 jasma certified exhaust...(not jasma pahang kilang there)

im using fgk now with full 3" catless straight pipe...i would say my car sound is quite mute compared to the other club members car....good for my daughter who sleep very comfortable at the rear seat... sound also is quite deep bassy at idling...
