Hi guys, mind to share your opinion on different kind of spark plugs? Which brand/model is the best? Thanks.

erm..there's normal spark plugs fr ur normal everyday use spark plugs..(the electrodes are about 2.5mm)which uses a typical nickel-alloy centre and the high performance ones which have smaller sized electrodes..(about 1.1mm) that uses platinum alloy centre electrode which contains a small amount of iridium..

there are a few brands that u can choose frm..
splitfire..NGK..brisk..greddy...:_:

it all depends on the correct heat range of plugs being used.
of course most of the times the premium range of plugs will perform the best and may last a little longer den the usual plugs.

I'm using Denso Power Iridiums with no problems and am very satisfied with it. It can withstand some high boost whacking... use it for a year and it still performed as expected.
Price starts from RM17x for those power iridiums.

which brand better ar?
denso or NGK iridium?

yes..most importantly is ur heat range..

normally in the market there wont be any PERFECT heat range plugs fr ur engine but its always better to choose a set which is colder..not hotter...

i would go for NGK:angel_smile:

there's no such thing as the best for spark plugs..
every brand gives u a diff advantage over the other brands...
just KNOW wat u want..and then find the spark plug that satisfies u..

when i buy spark plugs especially NGK, i will look for the one with R spec.

example normal plug for saga is BP5ES. i will look for BPR5ES or, the easiest compatible is BKR5ES or BKR6ES.

the secret with R is Resistor.

for older cars, the resistor will absorb radio noise distortion. not complete, but will minimise it.

and personally speaking, i do not feel any power increase by using more expensive sprk plugs.

the advantage of using platinum type only becoz they last longer. up to 100,000km instead of 30-40,000km recommended for normal type.

such plugs useful for cars like perdana V6, or naza ria, or TCR10/20 estima where in case of plug change, the engine must be removed out first.

however, for my kawasaki 150, if i use NGK B9ECS, instead of recommended BP8ES it will make the combustion more efficient at high temperature engine operation as the chances of advanced ignition of misfire is minimsed.

Hi Boyzone, how do you feel about Bocsh Super 4? Is the acceleration smoother?

How about NGK Iridium IX? Price?
