Yes bro, I got to agree the standard of racing is indeed great! Very intense race. The GT Queens are great as well. Wish to see more of them next year.

Other than that, I guess the Pit Walkabout is a bit rush. I think if it is at least 1hour, it would be sufficient for us to get all the shots. Crowds was too big and not enough time to spare. Everyone was rushing and pushing. :hmmmm2:

Well, overall was great and I guess you GT3 bro and the rest of the JPM staffs deserves some credits and thanks a lot for hosting the Super GT 2010 this year. :top:

Looking forward for next year's Super GT and hopefully it will be better year by year.

Hi Blackhowing,

Hi there, I am from JPM fyi. From the post, I think there are some misunderstanding so I would like to clear the air.

First, YES the mall area and corporate suite area is for our guest to place their cars. It was part of the package Sepang sold to us.

Second, even so we have told our guest until they drive a sports car or a performance car they cant place their cars there. Therefore even though with we have 350 guest, quite a few of them walk in instead of placing their cars there.

Thirdly, it is also true that most cars are conti makes. Then again, you have to clarify WHAT conti makes, they are LAMBORGHINIS, FERRARIS, PORSCHES, ASTON MARTIN to name a few. They are as you would know, car types that compete in Super GT too therefore there are some linkage to it. Another reason they are there is also for the spectators to take photographs with them. As they are not exactly the most common cars around.

Forth point is, FYI this promotion thingy that we HELP Sepang with was given to us 3 weeks before the event. Therefore, we insist our role is on Corporate Suite only. Roadshows and sort, we VOLUNTEER to help. As Sepang also drop it from their promotion due to lack to resources.

Fifth point, I dont believe we have got any calls or contact from you. Should you have done so and we did not response to it, I apologize on behalf of my staff and JPM. Honestly, if I have heard it I believe we would work out the situation. In any case, maybe you should PM me your contact and seeing that we at JPM got quite some events coming up there might be chances to work together.

Last point, I agree with you in terms of spectators at Grandstand is not a success. It is due to many reasons and not only world cup. But as I mention in forth point, our role is Corporate Suite, and based on the attendance and limited time frame I believe it is a reasonable success for us (JPM) but of course, not entirely true for Super GT.

Sorry for being long in reply. Just drop me a PM. We will discuss about it.

"they are LAMBORGHINIS, FERRARIS, PORSCHES, ASTON MARTIN to name a few. "

**basket, such mention of names has make my knees tremble and shake in fear**

---

I am very well aware of that these are some of the makes that participates in the race but you must also understand the heritage of Super GT:

"The Super GT series, formerly known as the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship or JGTC (全日本GT選手権, Zen Nihon GT Sensyuken), is a grand touring car race series promoted by the GT-Association (GT-A). Though the JGTC was authorized by the Japan Automobile Federation and recognized by the FIA, the Super GT is authorized directly by FIA."

---

Now, the "hear-say" I've gotten of JPM's strict ruling may have some abiguity and but it's inevitable that the feeling of JDM was rather scarce ... Having the great names of such conti makes displayed there that you've so proudly mentioned instead of JDMs is great... but it's like replacing the JAP RQs with some a bunch of european curvey blondes.. yes they are hot, voluptious, saucy and (the list will go on and on and on and on.. whahaha.. .).. but it's not entirely the same.. it's not exactly what it's about... and it aint exactly everyone's taste... even if it's the minorities...

Well, i'm not here to put a thorn or shove a cactus up anyone's rectum but seriously, it's just not the same and these comments here represents only a handful who are voicing out constructively. However, on behalf of the local motorsports scene (Wira, City, Vios, and some JDM laaa, not Super Cars like Lambs, Fers, Astons, Porsches), I'd like to thank JPM for their pro-activeness in stepping up to assist SIC to bring us another round of Japanese eye candies to sweeten our economic disaster stricken lives... :)

:adore:

If what i said aint right to you, my apologies then.... I need not any replies nor do i deserve it as I drive cars that's not even worth the cost of a bumper on these great makes u've mentioned...but i'm a voice of a minority and a consumer who's just making or rather... howling his point.....

but hey, at least he's happy:

Hi blackhowling,

I guess I offended u. Sorry for that. Dint meant to. Just wanted clarify it.

In any case, I would like you to know, we did invite a couple of JDM car clubs, I believe one of them is JSOC (or rename as SOC) where you are associated, others include subaru club etc. Only thing as it was a last min thing (3 weeks time frame) these clubs did not reply in time for us. It was a shame honestly. Personally I would like to have them as it is closer to super gt makes. Then again, I also believe if anyone is a car fan, they would not mind having any make of sports car being shown and would also enjoy the race regardless.

And yes, we would like to continue the tradition of Super GT in Malaysia next year and for the time to come. By then we would have more time to plan and get it more inclusive for the public and not only motor heads like us.

Hope to have your support at those time too! :)

I just wish next year, all the JDM car clubs could come back to the mall area....as it would heighten the atmosphere more. Even with the more expensive super cars....the essence of JDM is still missing.

The super cars in the mall area the numbers of cars that turn up does not do justice to the event as well. I was there the whole day and I find the place literally too empty...I was walking to the T15 tower and on the way...I just saw only a few super cars left...they came in with more than 10 cars...but at about 4 or 4.30pm something....I only saw 2 Ferrari was at the mall area where the rest went....I guess most of them left half way of the race....

If compare to last year's race....the moment you enter the ticket check point...there's already tonnes of JDM car clubs at the mall area. Even at the greeting center there would be packed with people at race day but this year...a bit quiet.....

I just hope that the next race, I could see more JDMs on the mall area and get some more booth selling merchandise....I hope the organizer and those involved would see the weak points of this year's race and make it better next year...

Hi Titan rev,

Yup as a enthusiast for car and racing, we would definitely like to have those things mentioned. Unfortunately time was not on our side this year. Again, as I mention in my reply to blackhowling we would certainly try to have this event on again and get more activities for spectators.

GT3: nah, i aint offended.. no worries mate.. it's just same interest but on a different league...

Anyhow, I'm sorry, i'd like to highlight that I am in NOT anyways related or associated with JSOC or SOC. They are full of smart, dynamic and young members who are rich and successful... and not as dumb as me to do Super GT events for free .. if u catch my drift.. ;)

To be honest, i've already contacted most of the 'hard core' super gt enthusiasts with wild ass-ed GT Themed bodykits car owners and we WERE ready to go.. sadly, the previous organizers told us it was called off.. Perhaps u've knocked on the wrong doors for support.. but one thing's for sure, we were told, "no freebies.. i.e no displaying of car unless u get the corp tickets!"

When the time comes for us to support Motorsports events of our preference, of course we'll give it our best to do so. Provided the invitation comes. ..

Meanwhile, do keep the spirit alive :)

Blackhowling: Ah im sorry, i thought you were cause many years ago you seems to be having quite some pictures of their gathering..

Anyway, sure we would let you know as well. There are many events to come and we appreciate people like you who will do the event for free because you are passionate about it! Kinda like us in a way. haha

Till then, see you!
