im newbie to turbo world.....Im going 2 convert my waja 1.6 to GDi turbo....i gt money 2 buy gdi turbo frm halfcut....wat modification can du 2 upgrade 160hp to more hp....?

please help me :adore: cause i never seen the pix of GDI turbo mod......

Pls don't get the GDI... i know it's newer than the CM5A GSR, but you will regret later...

I was in the same situation as you 2 years ago... 160bhp vs 205bhp... so logically went with the GSR... loving it so far.

but its only on paper...but when dyno the hp will down bout 5-15%...yeah!!! buts it's true better you take the GSR stock hp is more then the GDI TURBO.....

imho, if you can find tuner for direct injection engines i say go for the gdi cos it has better technology for petrol engines.. maybe up the boost to 0.8bar you can already gain the same hp as the GSR and i'm confident you can gain same if not better hp than the GSR

it depends on u...
if u looking for nice interior n cockpit, go for GDI coz their cockpit look same wit' evo 7.
but if u crazy wit' power n speed, pls don't hesitate take 1.8GSRT (4G93T)..i'm sure u'll love it..:biggrin:

In fact I actually consider to move for this engine as the price is more reasonable as compared to gsr .. Any comments on the parts and maintenance ?

only 2-3k cheaper. for god sake, the engines differ like sky and sea..
if you're converting your engine because of performance. please forget this GDI engine.
this is not a performance engine.
certain parts is hard to find.. nearly impossible.
performance upgrade parts.? no..
up boost? forget it.. kaboom (it uses direct injection.. if you're trying to fool the ecu increasing the boost.. then the direct injection will fool your money)

Thanks for the advice.. Then i will opt to gsr 4g93T .. Any recommendation workshop to go for transplant ? I need someone who is reliable and skills to do it ..

Hi Everyone. Can i ask Whether the 4g15 and 4g13 engine is basically share almost the same thing except for the engine block? Recently Im driving a wira 1.3 aeroback and i found that it is lack of pickup and high fuel consumption. Since the price of 4g15 engine in market is so high, So thinking of just changing the block and parts from a 4g15 if possible. Thank you if anyone could help?
