Ok here's the rundown

I like it
Very good value
No nonsense basic car that I won't cry if people scratch it

Misses
Can I expect it to work perfectly throughout the warranty?
No EBD and ABS *I need those*

SO nk tanya sifu2, how's the ABS and EBD from Proton? Does it work? My mum's Vios system works so well. The EBD just pulls you into the apex and the ABS has better logic than myself.

SO is the CPS version worth it? Or I'll be just fine without the EBD and ABS?

I have driven a car without ABS(my car ABS damage already) n EBD for quite a long time now...

Btw, Im driving a Proton 1996 1.8SOHC version so it has ABS before...
For me the proton abs is working perfectly...
Since now the QC of proton is much more better I think the ABS can hold on for a long time...

For a CPS Neo I think its worth of money to buy...
It has the looks and handling...
 
Bro dont go for the lite version of neo, its useless. Such a basic car, might i recommend you go for H-line instead of CPS? Its much cheaper and it features just about the same. Im a neo user and i can tell you, its worth it! :top:

BTW, H-Line still got meh? I tot onli CPS (so expensive) and M-Line, and finally the Lite. THe M-Line doesn't have ABS and EBD which is similiar to the lite. I'm not paying extra to have my side mirrors motorized. I can't be bothered about NVH levels too.

I just got my Neo Lite 2 weeks ago...my first impression is I love the looks and handling of the car.

However there is a few minor problem that need to be sort out,
1. the door when closing or open felt like something sangkut
2. the glovebox also sangkut...cannot open
3. the light for tempat barang also does not function
4. the plastic cover near the lock socket of tempat barang also broken
5. and just yesterday during a heavy downpour my driver side cabin and the back passengger cabin got water seeping in (parked in the open area).

I don't know what else i will found in the next few weeks....

Proton doesn't seem to learn to make quality control a serious matter or do it right the 1st time as there is ready market for their product. This Satria Neo have been around since 2006 and now its already 4 years into production and Proton should have solved known problems during production.

So you decide... as some owner got theirs without any problems. And the problem can be fixed if you found a good SC that can help.

I went to a showroom once to see the CPS version, then i notice the side lining just pop out. I haven't had a test drive though, maybe that will change my mind...
 
seems like no more M line, H line.
only have neo lite and neo CPS. heaven and earth for you to choose.
if got budget, CPS seems worth it. about RM14k premium though.
some of the stuff like ABS, EBD, air bag, the CPS engine (no need to worry about campro lag no IAFM for neo)... you can't get from after market.

then also the good looking bodykit, 16inch wheels, nice leather interior and those useless rear wiper, rear head rest, electric side mirror and the seldom use fog lights.
 
yup, new car. FC? Not really. Speed? Not really.

THat is why the Neo is pretty good, it doesn't do everything well, kinda like Jack of all trades, master of none. But, I appreciate good handling and grip.

Of coz, good aircond too hehe
 
ala bro...even the neo cps got problem...

mine...and a friend of mine...had the "bunyi angin" ..i dont know where it came from..i guess it come out from the front...of my car...
 
the CPS has captor tracking alarm, auto cruise control and nicer bodykit too...worth the extra 14k
 
auto cruise control...erm....I don't think I'll be happy with Proton's TCU operation logic. Yes, if auto cruise, sure talking bout auto. Please correct me if I'm wrong....

I think i'm pretty set with the lite. It's like an acer notebook, cheap, and basically depreciation is very aggressive, might as well lose a a minimal amount of money.

Is the new 2010 Neo Lite campro come with IAFM....how to differentiate campro with campro IAFM? Thanks in advance for any info on this matter.

NEO lite don't have IAFM. campro kosong only.
had previously check with few sources (showroom, proton service guys, paultan's blog)

the IAFM is behind the engine, made of plastic (instead of cast aluminium)
but you can't see one.

IAFM engine using Coil On Plug (COP) don't have spark plug cable and distributor.
but some engine had extra engine cover... so still can't see.
 
Thanks for the explaination. I asked about this because I come across a few ad by salesman selling new Satria Neo Lite mentioning the engine as Campro IAFM.
 
Just come back from my 1k service, my stuck passenger door had been fixed and the boot lamp bulb had been replaced with cost to me.

However the glove box are not fixed and were told it is normal for Neo model due to it designed....will try to fix it at other SC later. The broken plastic cover around the boot lock mechanism still cannot claim warranty as they need a letter from the showroom I bought the car stating that it is broken when they received the car from Proton.

Lastly the water that got inside the cabin when my car is park on slope,...the mechanic just told me to park my car on even ground....great service!!

im using satria neo lite also...
for almost 2 months now..

i have no problems with body, except like Bro Baba838 said about the door 'sangkut',
thats true..and i dont really know why...

i think its worth it for rm46k basic 1.6 car..
using campro engine,u know what to mod..
haha...

campro engine---->not really good in acceleration...>. need to mod then...
