Daniel, interested?

SG-Elite seem to fit my car.

Wah!! So expensive!! i plan to tint my car windows, and im getting RM350 to RM400 for whole car but i still make noise cos is expensive.... so much difference huh....

sandra,
the price diff on the efficiency of filtering the heat and uv, also how long it last on your windshield.

From my past experience (trying to save money), better go for the more expensive grade for the front windscreen. The front windscreen of the coupe has a very small inclination angle (very sporty) and if you tint the windscreen with a lower grade film, it is difficult to see through clearly. More so if it is at night or raining - very dangerous !
Not so bad for other cars with a more vertical windscreen. Try looking through the tinted door window and your front windscreen.
I have to strip off the film (which I paid RM250 just for the front windscreen) after suffering one month of torture. Replaced with one that cost RM400 just for the front windscreen.

Nothing beats the original un-tinted ( there is already a slight tint) windscreen when driving in adverse weather conditions.

Roy,
are you going to tint your car with SG-Elite?
I'm interested with the SG-Gold and SG-Elite.

Sandra,
the info Roy searched is cheaper compared to the one that I found from Rike Cool.
But quality wise, I'm not so sure whether the two are the same or not.

Tony,
how do we know which grade of tint film is consider a good and expensive for Coupe front windscreen?

It's time for me to change my tint film, 9 years liau, tint my self b'coz very expensive that time, buy the film & tint my self, that time was RM 850.00, the best price I can get is RM 750.00. But I buy the same film is only RM 200.00 the workman ship is just too expensive.
Now I have 2 sample tinted on my car, 2 also looks ok. (just like sample car, haha)
1 of my friend is supply tint film to tint shop, Malaysia market is very........!x@##$
the spec showing is not the spec, like Heat rejection - 92.3% some shop ask him to print more on the spec, like only 60% but printed 75% or even 80%
The more % on heat rejection is the best, as he told me Vkool is only about 80% to 85%, if any shop showing 90% & above, he say is not true or it's realy very good product & must be very very expensive.
Any 1 of u saw our window, at the bottom, showing some thing about 70%? I think is visible light transmission, will check again tomorrow.
I'm not looking for high end product, cost more than 1.5K, just looking at about 600.00 to 800.00
As I look at http://www.rikecool.com/beta/auto_info.htm not showing the heat rejection, only show vlt-visible light transmision, uvr-ultra violet rejection & irr-infra red rejection

tony, thanks for the advise, maybe I shall install Vkool elite for my front and rear..

daniel, don't know yet.

Yu, the 70% light transmission mark, I believe it show that our original clear glass block 30% light transmission. perhaps we can only go for 20% tint if we want JPJ compliance.

Not clear at all, transparencia 70% min. Block 30% max. so only can go for vlt-visible light transmision 20% loh, 'chi sin meh' only 20%
70% min., so can be 80% or 90% May be my car is 70% & BS's car is 90%? can this be happen?
Our front is 75% min. so only can go for 5%, but again is min. has 75%, can be 80% or 90% too, so how?.....

Any more info on tint film?
shop, price, spec?....

Oh, will post the sample pic of my car.

actually I kind of miss those days when there is no regulation at all you can go as dark as you want. Its those corrupt ministry that comes up with this bright idea of ability to recognise those criminal in the car. For what i see crime rate goes up and percentage of capture when down.

In fact we in penang still suffer the stupid jam at road block everywhere till now because of the processor heist at airport still can't solved.

Sorry for taking off a bit.

They'll also ask you to peel off those black kao kao tint film on the spot.

Ace, now they are having road block everyday?

Daniel, when are you going? maybe can form a group by?
but I know most of Coupe owner have tinted.
It's like first thing you shall do once you get the car.
