Replacing meter light bulb

Hi,

Has anyone replace the light bulb for the meter panel?

My meter light so dim.. I guess some of the bulb probably got burnt.. I m thinking of replacing with white led bulb.. anyone know where can i have a good job for this?

i've done that myself.. the easy part is dismantle the meter and finding the burnt bulb.. the bulb itself can easily bought in any car accessories shop around RM3.. the hard part is finding the right color... manage to find orange but a bit different orange..

I have done it with blue LED.. but my meter looks like Proton Iswara meter... then I changed back to orange color...

I've also replaced my meter bulbs too coz some got burnt...replaced them with the spares from my other altezza/lexus meters cluster. I'm also wondering where can i get the white ones?? Hmmm..:)

Now I m thinking of changing the aircond control panel light to blue colour.. since I already got blue Led.. but not sure how to D.I.Y...

Anyone know how to open it? Is the bulb same with the combi meter bulb 12v5w?

i.e where are all the important bolt located ?
a year ago when i bought this car already planned to change the display colour le. even when to ask trial guys :)
at that time every1 are clueless :)
feel that orange just look kinda , hmm how to say,, old skoool..
now day new dash pannel have sharper colour. like civic and camry.

haih. the car still giving me problem even after lost and found :)
i shall say its the police that are giving me problem.
my road tax expired on 28th of august, even till to day i still cant re-new.
reason for that was, " Encik , kereta anda masih dalam status "hilang dan curi dalam rekod balai polis ". really dont know what those police are doing daily.
want to come out TT with u guys also cannot :)
back to the dash pannel topic.. went to ask accs shop today. woo !! cost a big bom man to change all the pannel light.

Test : that IS300 look ok to me. but sure not all able to accept those panel colour. some may feel its tooo LA LA .. as long as it doesnt look dull to me then its fine :)

I still like orange, though the Altezza orange looks a bit outdated...if it was like the new gen Toyota optitron orange...

Yeah..like u bro Z-Edition..I prefer the original amber color of the Altezza meter..the other colors looks a bit to glaring and flashy for me..hehehe.
But the ori amber looks a bit too light..will try to look for a deeper tone amber LED from Auction Yahoo as replacement to match the DEFI meters...hehehe..:)

Good point Mr Greytezza, I was thinking about that., If the Defi's light,DVD player and amplifier's can perfectly match the panel light. But recently i ve removed all the defi meters as i felt it too much of light during night time just like handling an aeroplane, it's annoying when people get close to my car. i felt its not safe..hahh... But some times think to fix all the meters back to enjoy the fun...arrgghh ..i am confusing.

Sorry a little late in finding this post. My meters are very dim and I suspect the bulbs have blown.

Know anywhere I can find a shop that will replace it for cheap?
