Anyone have experience with Hankook Ventus V2 Concept 2?
How good is it compare to GY Eagle NCT5?
I'd been quote Rm265 for each donut.
Size is 205/55/R16.
I plan to change all 4 donuts once I collect my car later this week from the showroom.
Thanks a lot.
You gotta be kidding me. NCT5 is no where near Ventus V2. The only tyre that is comparable to NCT5 is Duraplus lol.

Not sure about your tyre size, but my latest price check for 215/45R17 the PS3 used to be selling at RM530, now around RM470 so it is quite a lot down in price, but since German GY Asy2 also around that price I will go for the Asy2, since PS3 is Thai made...:driver:
I'm using fr 215/50/17 & rr 245/45/17. Over 2 yrs ago when I bought these F1-D5 if I still remember correctly the fr was about rm420 and the rr was rm600. The shop also offered me the PS3 but the fr was already close to rm600 and the rr was almost rm800 I think. So that time the price difference was big.

NCT 5 is not bad when new. After 30% when the sipes starts to disappear the performance drops, and after 50% even worse.....hhahahhahhaa

Next change ask and see if drop enough for you to try.....hahhahhahaha

Like mine 215/45R17, PS3 drop to match Asy2 price now, but they are still Thai made whereas Asy2 are German made....:driver:

Still about 1yr/15-20k km to go. Will see how the prices compared between brands. My problem is I want to change my front to 225/50/17 to make the front more responsive and increase height and comfort, and not many UHP tires have this size including the F1. I'm now even thinking to use better tires like PS3/CSC5/S-Drive for the front then maybe use slightly less but still UHP for the rear like maybe GT-HPY.

Yes it does, as well as PS3, CSC5, and S-Drive. We'll see later when comes the time to change which ones are still available and what prices. I might not drive the same car also by that time. (Depends on how much money I have later also. :D )

PS3 is sticky and quiet I loved it very much but treadwear 280 I whacked till totally botak in less than 2 years... it's quite an expensive for high mileage 40k km per year like me.
Haven't tried AS2 but it was on my friend 's FD2, test drove once and felt not bad.
MC5 is supposedly a mid range tyre right?

Have not tried PS3 but my Asy2 is very good. Already in the market like 4 years and in most tyre review always in top 3 to 5.
Yup, MC5 is mid only. Traction rating A only.

Yeah but actually since I'm on staggered setup, better my front is directional so I can switch the in to out as the inside wears faster. If asymmetric then I cannot do that. Rear though can be asymmetric coz wears out rather even between inside and outside. CSC5 also comes out on top in many reviews beating even PS3 & F1A2.

PS3 treadwear is 320, not 280. But yeah if you're driving that much then would only last around 1.5yrs.

Wah! want to be like Pirelli P Zero System. Directional front to clear water for the rear asymmetric......hhahahhahaha:rofl:

For use on both road and track, P ZERO™ CORSA SYSTEM concept combines directional (front axle fitment) and asymmetric (rear axle fitment or all-round application) tread designs to enhance not only performance, but also styling.

P ZERO? CORSA SYSTEM , Car tyres, Summer tyres | Pirelli

Somehow still not accepting Conti high end. They had many problems with bulging issues in their CSC3. PUG408T owners many complaints. A few are my friends too. Just last week another friend on VW Passat also have same issue on the CSC3.
Then for CSC5 my ex colleague tried 2 pcs for his Accord. About half worn, one got sidewall crack...

Hahaha, not really but just based on practicality after observing my tires condition >35k km use. Pirelli also doesn't even have directional tires for size 225/50/17. :(

Oh ic ic Well that's bad then, especially coz the Continental prices are also damn expensive! I thought they're supposed to be very good coz their top range are made in Germany right? Btw the Continental that comes as std on my Livina are still ok though after >40k kms (but that one is very low end range so the performance is really suck, squeeling like a pig every time corner just a bit faster!).

I think Pirelli directional tyre only available in their Corsa system.

That is Probably the Conti CC5, entry level tyres

Even worse, CC1 I think!
Oh! that must have been a while back. My SUV came with that and that was 4 years ago.
Used half way only, since low mileage, rubber compound harden and cracking and wear uneven. On highway sounds like those A/T tyres....:banghead:
