Regarding high/low adjustable

Guys, issit true that if i adjust the coilover to very high thn it will have less compress room result more bumpy? My fren had a coilover on his car and adjust to the max high as the coilover allow. Coz even at highest point, his rear is only 2 finger gap only. But his rear is super hard. One of the friend said it could be set to very high hence the absorber got less room to compress

I'm not in the most sober/sane condition, but bare with me.

Stiffer springs are harder to compress, so less bumps from the road will be absorbed thus making the car bumpier than stock.

About the rear, could because the rear of the car has less weight, hence making it more stiff than the rear.

Of course it would impact ride quality (stiffness). When you reduce height, you're also adding extra pressure to the springs.

I guess no!!!
The higher or ride will contribute better comfort is term of 'bumping' RESPONSES due to ur lower arm angle position...

Lower ride height will need harder spring rate to compromised ur handling responses...
If u adj higher coilover, u just need a softer spring rate...
The spring not really 'significant' to the comfortable bit for handling & collision/drift!!!
The factor is the asb soft or hard
& that's because ur spring doesn't much pushing ur asb all the time
So that asb being press.
More or less can said u use most of the asb. damping to asb the bump...
But in fact, if u sften the damping & a bit harden u spring, should be btter feel...
Even ori car does...the spring harder that asb...

This is based on my exp...

in normal case, the lower it gets, the stiffer ur suspension is...

reminder, this should has nothing to do with spring rate... we are talking about damping rate here... as absorber is compressed even further, the damping rate increases....

yes bro, you are rite, i experienced that on my previous adjustables. the higher you 'screw' the coild, the harder the spring rate becomes. this is a problem with matching the springs against your preferential ride height.

Well just wanna clarify it...

If u set higher of coilover, normally u will soften ur spring rate(inorder to compromize the ride height)
In this case, u r putting more force on ur absorber/damping...it's very stiff...& u can even feel float on the highway as ur speed fast across the bump

In order to have a good ride, recommend to a bit lower ur coilover & harder ur spring to compromize ur desired ride height
