Hi all, my rear windscreen de-frosser (I don't know is this the correct name or not) was not fucntioning. I have asked wireman to check the wiring and they confirmed the wiring is ok. Anybody know how to repair / change it?
i've read sumwhere that u can't change it but have to change the whole back windscreen... i think it was in the nst car page... sumone wanted to change their de-mist-er... u can buy it but fixing it is difficult... mos shops don't do it plus it may be the same price of a new windscreen.... when mine didn't work i used a multi meter and tested each line by line, than use a soldering iron n lead(for those electronic pcb thingys) to join the broken ends... make sure to sand paper a bit first b4 soldering it... (i think thats how u spell it rite always use pateri)
i'm had the same problem too, at first working, then after tinting, it stopped working. then i check the wiring, one of the lead points broken, i have to solder it back.
but after a few years, only the upper half is working (quick), the lower half hv to wait longger to clear up the mist.
May I know if anybody here is in the republic of oldskool rotaries? Those are R100, RX2, RX3, RX4, RX5 and rotor in any oldskool cars... Loved to see your machines here...!
