questions regarding those engine kosong

actually how do u guys register those engine kosong eh? i saw a few in the marketplace section and it's dirt cheap. what's the pros and cons of getting these engines?

U need to register the number with JPJ, u need custom letter etc, some because of changes in cc
otherwise its illegal, worse case scenario when involved in incident the Insurance will check ur engines number dude !

If JPJ caught u surely SITA !
If Police, suspect for stolen engines -SITA !

if you dare just go ahead, i did it....off course you car have to be a sleeper
if your car mods to attract the officers - do think twise

mostly engine kosong is for those ppl who have the same type of engine and use it for spare parts... :) and most of the time those engine kosong will miss out some parts and sensors. If one of those sensors is missing, than the engine can consider useless plus it is very hard to find and expensive too. Better get a half cut....

Engine kosong are just the head & block.

yeap; most of the time engihne kosong is head & block only. even if there's oil seal; piston; gasket and stuffs intake....most of the time it's not advisable to use...

anyway, ppl buy engine kosong to trade compatible parts or for some case; just to rebore. Incase some failure; u still got ur original engine with u.

usually if u get a blok.. u'll get kastam form as well, and if its originally std engine.. get a photostat copy of geran.. once bought only blok from half cut n got the kastam form

correct me if im wrong, but if u change block without kastam form, the engine number will be different from your car card.
so your car will fail puspakom test.
so cannot get bank loan and very hard to sell the car in the future

normally engine kosong without custom form will be used for spare parts
except the block cover due to the engine number.

But if track car means, no problem laaa....whack ony

if u bought engine kosong,u still can register with jpj.but u must get the surat kastam.my car engine also i got from engin kosong/engine lantai.i dont need halfcut bcos i want to change the parts,i like rojak2 ie bigger turbine,bigger throttle body,bigger downpipe,and...ahahaha!!!! secret la.but actually it will cost alot more than getting the half cut.but if u want to heavily modded your engine and got more money,go and get engine kosong.

p/s:my engine also come from engine lantai.still i can manage to reg with the jpj.you just need kastam ltt.
