PS2 - maintenance required

Hi Guys,

I've owned my PS2 since late 2001 and noticed that the ventilation area
has now clogged with dirt.

How to clean away the dirt safely? I dont want to push the dirt into
the console.

Vent cleaning

Buy a painting brush, preferbly 1/2".
Hold the PS 2 with vent facing the floor. Start cleaning (brushing). The dirt shall fall to the floor. Do the same for the rear fan.

Keep the vent clear and the PS 2 ventilate better, hence the laser last longer.

emm... i was thinking of using vacuum cleaner to suck them out... i hope there's no any single electronic component suck out also :D

No Vacum Cleaner.

No Vacum Cleaner. Vacuum too hard and the soldewr for the modchip comes off as well. More problems.......more headache....

Well, I've never tried with a car vacuum :-). maybe it COULD be a better method.
