My power window (driver side) failed yesterday. Unable to rise after coming down- can hear the motor churning away. Only 3+ years Hyundai Coupe 1.8. I thought Proton's bad enough.

Anyone out there have encountered this problem? Where to get the parts or can we DIY?

Thanks

cheah, are you driving 2003 Turbelence?
I'm driving 99 Tiburon, i'm using my power windows everyday for parking and toll payment, *touch wood*, so far my power windows still in good shape.

I think you need to send to Hyundai Service Center for a check.
Update us for your case. And hope that you solve your problem, car without power windows is ..... killing if you drive around in KL.

Went to Hyundai's gigantic new warehouse at Glenmarie to purchase the power window assay. Cost me RM188. Went to a car accessory shop to replace the "defective" set with the new one. Took only one hour to disassemble and install for RM30.

The reason why the window couldn't rise up was because a stopper of the original set snapped. A superglue could have easily rectified the situation. Now, I have a spare set of the power window assay ( driver side). If anyone of you faces similar problem, you can get in touch with me.
