juz call me now~!
ah beh 016-6000682

Your price is to high, do you have any track record in local motorsports event ??

bro, there is one place near my house which has done track cars... but, think about it... usually, track cars are maxed to the limit. So, might over do it .. then u find that u would have a very hefty bill to foot.

been absent for awhile, sorry.

- Valve springs dont add power, its only designed for high rpm application i.e above 8000rpm where the use of nomal valve springs will cause the valve not closing fast enough.

- Entering motorsport events doesnt mean that the workshop is good. sometime its just about how far the mechanic has gone for proper training. any tom, dick and harry workshop can claim that he is the best and have entered this and that race.

- potring is one thing, but what about port matching and manifold allignment? ask the mechanic if he had heard about that and how it works. if he cant answer then he can go fly kite.

there are alot of ideas being flung around, i.e my friend says this, my cousin says that but my sugestion is to fillter what you read or hear before using it. sorry if i step on anybody's toes.

I want a workshop that involved in Motorsports event and have good results (podium finish etc). That's what i meant.

Bro, I understand what you mean. I think it depends on each person's liking la....

Would you want your engine to last 1 year or 5 years before overhaul? You must remember that most track cars are completely striped down after the race then rebuilt again lo... (if I am not mistaken)

There is one near my place that does for track cars as well. very experienced guy.....

Powerzone charged RM1500 for the ported head (including new valves and head gasket, 2 weeks work, no need to leave the car for 2 week). Very expensive compare the other places, u can see what they claim they do at their website http://www.powerzone.com.my. It gives me 10% power increase afterall (I got a dyno chart for the matter).

New valves will cost another 300-400 bucks...

hav u done yours? at Powerzone? Pls PM me your contact man..

BRO, I think yours is a 4G91 la..... only 12 valves..... so cheaper la.... sorry for the mix up. Mine a 4G93P DOHC la....

REally that good?? wht is your BHP now?

i'm also interested in PnP'ing my B16A head...maybe do another one after I manage to buy and fit a complete Rocket Motorsports valvetrain kit though. My current head has already been PnP'ed but I think it doesn't suit my standard B16A valvetrain kit. Does these PnP services offered by these companies / ppl are done by hand or by those PnP - specific machines? I'm worried about the 3 angle valve jobs ( which is pretty important for B series engines ), worry that they might do the incorrect degrees etc. I already have the specific stuffs / calculations for PnP ( like how far the intake bore should be opened up, the degrees for the 3 angle valvejob, what should be removed from the head etc ) but i don't think i am able to measure ( especially the 3 angle valve job ) 'em after it's done though..

Well, can meet up and talk.... Planning to go to Powerzone. But maybe Dec or Jan only. how?

Can talk to them on this. Other places , cannot be bothered about measurements.

No offence. Pls try to view this website. Bad experienced from Powerzone customer.

Just want to share knowledge with u all.. I'll nedd feedback from someone who have done PnP with Cobra Motorsport. ANy one please. They quote me quite cheap rather than PZ.

I was also in the same position as you... I was thinking of giving it to my mechanic, whom, when I asked about measurements and proper porting and polishing, replied -
"Don't worry, I have done this for quite a number of cars... So far no problem and very good"

A lot of people can do it, but whether they can do a proper job is another thing. Putting effort into it and not just treating this as just a business is important

Hey, how about TT this Thurs?

sms me at 017-8889518

Powerzone don't use any benchlow machine (coz they don't have one), it seems they memorize what to do with the engine head. IMO if their engine head can bring 10% power increase, that's pretty good. Only if the price is lower ..

CARENT, that engine head u see is a 4G13/15 engine head. The last time I dyno my 4G13 (last year), it produces 63.4hp on-wheel, which is roughly 83bhp. Not very high coz my engine is already old and piston rings will wear out very soon.

Nope, cannot come for TT, I'm going back to Terengganu that night.

What is your current spec now ? bottom end 1.8 or 2.0 ? Obviously 3 angle valve job can visibly be inspect, it's not that hard to know it. Dont worry about valve clearance, angle, size etc as these ppl know how to measure it. If you want a "machined" head job, you can go for Matspeed as they have a Serdi machine, Powerzone is okay also eventhough they dont have a Serdi.

Dont be surprise because our local mechanics do have the expertise of doing such mods. Thumbs up to them, before this i am a bit sckeptical as well but once my machine fly im a true beleiver. For the records our SOHC 1.5 machine went 14.1 to the quarter.
