taqu said:Powerzone charged RM1500 for the ported head (including new valves and head gasket, 2 weeks work, no need to leave the car for 2 week). Very expensive compare the other places, u can see what they claim they do at their website http://www.powerzone.com.my. It gives me 10% power increase afterall (I got a dyno chart for the matter).

ace79 said:i'm also interested in PnP'ing my B16A head...maybe do another one after I manage to buy and fit a complete Rocket Motorsports valvetrain kit though. My current head has already been PnP'ed but I think it doesn't suit my standard B16A valvetrain kit. Does these PnP services offered by these companies / ppl are done by hand or by those PnP - specific machines? I'm worried about the 3 angle valve jobs ( which is pretty important for B series engines ), worry that they might do the incorrect degrees etc. I already have the specific stuffs / calculations for PnP ( like how far the intake bore should be opened up, the degrees for the 3 angle valvejob, what should be removed from the head etc ) but i don't think i am able to measure ( especially the 3 angle valve job ) 'em after it's done though..

V8_nutter said:What is your current spec now ? bottom end 1.8 or 2.0 ? Obviously 3 angle valve job can visibly be inspect, it's not that hard to know it. Dont worry about valve clearance, angle, size etc as these ppl know how to measure it. If you want a "machined" head job, you can go for Matspeed as they have a Serdi machine, Powerzone is okay also eventhough they dont have a Serdi.
Dont be surprise because our local mechanics do have the expertise of doing such mods. Thumbs up to them, before this i am a bit sckeptical as well but once my machine fly im a true beleiver. For the records our SOHC 1.5 machine went 14.1 to the quarter.![]()
