wat eng oil u using..better used semi 1 la..if have $$$ go for semi ENDLESS 1..just rm80..myb have some whre leak..

Here is my experience few months ago. When i used thin oils 10/40, i did suffer engine oil loss like u did. Almost half after 3 months. Then i tried some experiment. Used 20/50 oil, then the problem lessened. A lot!

Conclusion, piston wear. Could be the rings. Thicker oils is harder to seep in worn piston rings. :)

Like u, my engine also no leaks. Also no white smoke. But there is very very very little smoke comes out during dry days. Meaning piston rings got little leak.

Worry or not? Yes if u are rushing here and there all the time. No if u drive like uncle.

Or just use my solution, buy cheap mineral 20/50 oil. But then again i remember sifoo chin said, 4AGE 20V hates mineral oil. :)

So the decision is to live with the top up, do a piston service or check or be hero and use 20/50 oil. hehehe.

from my knowledge... blacktops can run hot'ish even when cruising. I think the advice was to install oil cooler.

if you watch your temp... with some minimal engine playing and cruising... it can hit 100 degrees.

MOTUL 10/40 suits well too... according to the specs, 20v uses 10/40 type of engine oil

u may ask ur mech check on the valve compression. Suspect the vavle seal are leaking.

good luck.....

u can used castrol magnetic 10/40..after u fill that oil ur eng sure ringan 1..test la..but must using ori oil filter la..
