I plan my monthly budget based on how much I get and how I handle my own monthly income. Whether other country is paying more for whatever, it really doesn't concern me because at the end of the day, the way I spend my money will still be based on how much I earn and how much I can save each month. I'd believe that whether the cost of living is high or not in malaysia will vary from one person to another. For example, a person earning RM5k a month but living very humbly with very simple things in life (maybe single story house, drives a stock proton, eating home most of the time, no air cond, etc.), he can save more money and to him, he will think that cost of living is OK. Yet, if he were to stay in a double story house, have 10 insurance, etc., it'll end up that RM5k per month is not enough. There are people who are happy and probably satisfied with life with RM2k or RM3k or salary. If they can be happy, why can't people who earn RM5k or RM6k be happy and satisfied too, eh? hehehe Well, that's what I think. hahahaha</blockquote>
