haha...happy to see that still got many forummer here interested with olskool rides~~~:burnout:

TR,both of the side-draft carburetted engine were nissan A15 1.5cc engine frm nissan C22 or C20...both of the datsun owner transplanted the A15 engine into their ride to replaced the original A12 1.2cc engine...

this is the Datsun B110 with A15 engine(Dellorto DHLA 45)

this is Datsun 120Y B310 with A15 engine also(Weber DCOE 40)

quite expensive if u wanna fully rebuilt it(bodyworks, engine, interior and etc)depends on the car condition la... if u were lucky enuf to find good condition olskool then the money that u will be spending will be less too...

actually im quite lucky...got my retro 2 years ago at those under tree 2nd hand car dealer for rm3k...the condition of it can consider as average(i give it 65%)...abit rust at undercarriage and etc...i alrdy spent around 2.5k or more on my retro during the 1st and the 2nd month when i bought it to made it more perfectly...and still spending $ now...lol

btw,my retro was completely stock standard...:bawling:

money money~~~~where r u????i needed $ so much....

Blank,

You sounded young at heart, and from your description, you are young at age too. Very unique that young ppl like you love old skool. Do you mind sharing your ride here? Post some pics and perhaps "seduce" more motorhead in ZTH to be involved in old skool:burnout:

What is sadening is that many old skool japanese car are being sent to chop-shop lately due to the RM5000 rebate by Proton.

There are a few places that I saw good old cars being collected and ready to be demolished for their steel. haih....

U got it bull eyes!!!:adore:

yeap~~~im a student and taking automotive course now...^^

actually,at the beginning...im not an olskool fans at all...i just bought it as a transport to school...it got serious leaking problem during rain...really made me frustrated that time...but after that(dunno when was it),i felt in love with it...its was a special 1 for me although all my friends included my parent treated it as an useless old junk...but it wouldn't stopped me frm driving it...even the serious leaking problem wasn't a problem for me(i just fixed it last week...now no leaking at all...im a happy boy now!!!)

yea...because of the proton exchange program...30% of olskool got scrapped..most of it still good and in running condition...im really sad about that...in the same time,my parents got lured by this proton exchange program...they wanted me to sold my retro or exchange it with a new proton so much...i refused it and having "cold war" for almost 2 months because of it

another headache problem for me was the road tax...started since june 2009,almost all the insurance company refuse to accept 25 years car and above...without insurance that means without road tax...most of my olskool club member having this problem...

btw,ken...my retro was really standard gaban...nothing special with it...u really wanna have a look on it???vry ashamed la...

if you don't mind, you could show us your car. Perhaps you could open a thread, on old skool modded/standard section...lagi best, right?
