What is pretty wonderful about all mitsu engines of this era is that lots of parts are interchangeable, heck, even the b16-b20 honda engines can be played around with ...and SAFELY. Back to the warranty argument. i do not think that proton cannot handle giving a 2 years warranty to an r3 with hotter parts in it. Note that if anyone does abit of homework, i.e go ask any honda approved mechanic or ask motor image about their warranty on the impreza.regards</blockquote>
