New member: A33 driver from the US

Hi all, I live in the US and drive an A33 Infiniti I35, very similar to your Nissan Cefiro.

I found your forum and find it very nice and informative. I was hoping you might be able to help me figure out some things in terms of modifications.

First, do any of you modify your A33 Cefiros (exterior)? Where do you get your parts? I'm looking for a duck-tail style lip spoiler for the trunk right now, but am having a hard time getting ahold of it.

Second, do the brakes from a Skyline bolt right up to the Cefiro? Without modification? I see some things that make me thing the calipers bolt right on without a problem, but I'm not so sure.

And of course, I'll be happy to answer any questions you all may have

Hi John, Actually we are having very limited Modding activities for A33 here too.
For myself, I've upgrade the stock absorbers and springs to TEIN. For other body works....very very limited.

From what i understand from my mech. The Skyline caliper can't fit A33. (A32 is ok though)

For what i know now, Taiwan offers more A33 after market parts!..

Yeah, I have to source most of my parts from Taiwan and Australia.

I have sideskirts, front skirts, rear skirts from Australia. Double din dash kit from Taiwan.

I also have clear bumper lenses, Tein H-Tech springs, Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable struts, strut bar, etc.

Wow, Checked your cardomain! I love the front skirts!

Actually i wanted to repaint my car to darker colors. Will good if I can get my hands on the skirts before i do that!

I ordered the front and rear skirts from a dealership in Australia. I can get the contact information to you if you like.

I had another question - why won't the skyline calipers fit on the A33? OEM brakes from the A33 can bolt onto the A32, so why will skyline calipers bolt onto an A32 but not an A33?

Quite simply, I want better front brakes. Preferably with 4 pot calipers.

Also, are there any websites (in Malaysia or elsewhere) that you can order Cefiro parts from?

Actually that's what i wanted too. a 4pot caliper. Now,using the ori braking system, at high speed, brakes are not performing well for me.

Check out "OngTeckWeng"'s tread, he has his A32 converted to VQ25DE and using a 4 pot caliper from "either Fairlady or skyline" not too sure.

As for myself, I've check with my mech, he told me A33 will have some problem with skyline's calipers.

You saw A33's calipers bolts on to A32? hmm, let me start this in "Cefiro Club". Come over and take a look.

Hi Fariz,

Yes, I did change the bumper lenses to clear. I only changed the front, however, as I thought the rears looked better as red rather than clear.

I looked at your cardomain page, and your A33 looks very nice. What kind of brakes do you have on the front? They looked like brembo calipers. Also, did you apply yellow film to the foglight lenses to achieve the "yellow" look?
