for 200k car.. u can buy STI year 2003 at around 180k .. then u'll save 20k money for additional modification to make the car 300bhp.. :P

btw, the jdm type-r kinda similar with our local civic.. hardly notice the different than the color and the bodykit... i mean.. anybody with a civic can slap that kind of bodykit... nampak sama saja..

No doubt the performance specs of the Type-R is impressive but like gti-wly say..too expensive to pay for a car that does not have any significant stand-out look from it's other siblings. Another neagtive point is it comes only in white!!.
Anyone could just buy a 2.0L civic and slap on a Type-R bodykit and it looks just like one from the exterior...maybe even better looking with other color options...hehehe.
Bro Lennon..couldn't agree with you more..car prices here are really over priced...why..becos of the AP issues. If you look at the prices offered on the net for a used Altezza..it will prob cost us around RM50-60K to bring one in....

I think the new civic looks better than the old 1.7 model...If you resprayed it in hot red..like the Type-R color options overseas..it will look awesome!!..
The only thing that I dislike about the civic is the speedometer...does not work for me..or maybe I am just to old school...hehehe

Just like saying 200hp WRX from Motor Image can just slap Spec C bodykit, wasn't it?? Then everyone would say,"Look it's a spec C!"..... Wat a comparison..... :hmmmm:

Yeah, everything is over-priced here..... But it's not fair to compare price between new car and old car..... I bet new Altezza would be slightly more expensive than Civic Type-R.......

Everybody's taste is different, some like NA others like Turbo...... But thru my observation, this car is worth to buy becos of it's overall performance (official test show this car is 3 sec faster than GTR in Suzuka), warranty and factory support..... Engine well hand ported at intake and exhaust inlet....

Maybe the colour is a bit restricted, but white is Type-R's tradition..... Interior wasn't a classy one, but a bit space age..... We all have to adjust this in the future, hopefully they don't allocate the speedo to the middle..... I hate that.... heheh
