Please state your exp, as how long your engine last until kong ? Or its ok.. it will not kong ur engine..

What's the repair method ? William said need to top overhaul OR buy new block... :( :(

Will cost a bom again... sighh.. please share some experiece

Normally problem will be from the valve seal.

Other problem will be from the snap piston rings or second piston ring jam due to high rev and compression. You will need to find out how many cylinder is having the same problem.

In the worse case is that you might spoiled the piston already.

You cant tell if you need to buy a new block until you have dismantle the head but you definately be needing the Toyota top overhaul gasket kit. If the cylinder wall is scratch by the piston rings, the next option will be getting the cylinder wall bored over sized and install a new sets of Toyota over bore pistons.

Always overhaul the engine before installing them.

Common mistake made by Malaysian when they install the engine is that they never check on the engine internally. Like oil seal leakage, con-rod bearings wear and tears and also the piston rings conditions.

Be rdy to spend some time and money for what is coming.

Hi Synchron,

Thanks for the infos.. if its the valve seal ? will it be an easy job ? just take the head off and change the seals ? How long will this take ?

after cylinder wall bored over size.. will the capacity increase?

Sud increase. that's what blitz is doing right now i think. But anyway, that's not what I want.. just wanted to solve my prob... anymore infos or exp to share ?

If it is the valve seal, I cant say it is an easier job because there still need alot of work involve. You need to take out the cams then take out the head. You can say that you are striping the head apart.

You can take the advantage to clean the head and even port it. I have never seen a really clean 20v head before, ussually they are black or either dark brown. You have already paid for the removing and installing the head might as well do all those one short. Your advantages is the head is much cleaner and the respond will surely be increase.

Yes! when we bore the cylinder wall and change into a bigger bore pistons the displacement will be increase. Toyota only have one size bigger pistons which is the 81.5mm bore. Makes up to about 1607cc not much of a different.

Max bore will 83.5mm making about 1687cc about a 100cc more. Aftermarket piston have to be use for this applications.

why must be honda and continental? dont they suffer wear and tear? dont they tends to be misfunction or broken? wow... i dont know about that
