Ferrari used to have 1 engine for qualifying and 1 engine for racing.
no the lube changing thing was this year...jus forgot whether it happended before or after sepang...

blacksamurai, good point. but does the new ruling encompass changing the engine oil as well?
no it does not...as it is hard to govern engine oils used by the teams...engine oils is the only lubrication that are extracted and pump back into the engine for heating up the oil...so the engines would not start cold...
but i am quite sure Ferrari did use a special oil for qualifying...
