Hi there, i have a original HC-E 1.3 16v. So which mainfold is better for my car? [4 in 1] or [4 in 2 in 1]? Will it increase some HP after mod?

im not too sure which one would be better coz im running a 1.0 but i can tell u that having an extractor + exhaust setup will give u a nice little bit more power especially in the higher RPM's.....depends on ur setup lar....if ur planning to change the extractor, change the whole exhaust all the way to the back(extractor - piping - bullet - muffler)...u'll feel the difference then....my 2 cents worth...

its better to have a 4-2-1 custom extractor.....somewhere in http://g11pg.proboards22.comhas some tuned length n measurements for a custom extractor.....done it properly will have a better accel and top end.....extractor with full custom exhaust setup will gain some HP....

erm, basically it all depends on what are you looking for, max power for high rev or a combination of high revving power and also some city driving characteristics...

if you are alwiz driving in the tracks, then the 4-1 will suit you better as its more for high revving power...but if you want a combination of both, i suggest you the 4-2-1 extractor, just like anion mentioned, a properly tuned extractor will make a whole lot of difference.. :D

Thanks guys.. thanks for all the information. Can any1 tell me more detail about "high revving power". Beside, where and how can i get the proper extractor & exhaust setup system? I feel my HC-E is lack of power, maybe i cause by the 14" rim + 185/60/R14. Now the top speed is hardly to reach 145km/h... :(

what ? ur HC-E hardly reach 145kmph ? dude....im running on 14" deto rims plus stock condition HC-E...no extractor just the original manifold on my aura....goin 160kmph is not a tough task....there must be sumthin else rather den the extractor of urs...

High revving power means the torque or power u feel when ur engine is revving to around 4000 plus RPM....depends on whether u consider that high lar....for our NA cars i think its considered high..
dude...thats not good man..think the car needs to go to the doctors for a checkup....a few of the 1.0's here can reach 160kmh....
MEet up with the members here one day lar, we'll talk about the where and how to get and also how much to pay factor....but actually, just go to a suggested exhaust shop and u shud be fine....wheres ur location bro?

Depends on what you need, 4-2-1 will give you more midrage power compared to 4-1 (which develop power on the high rpm). If you changing xtractor only, you will probably gain 5-7% h.power, but if you "tune" and change the whole exhaust system, you might get 15 to 18 % incriment in horsepower (providing the exhaust technician "knows" how to tune/set your exhaust).
