Hello...
My dad just passed me down a family car.
A kia spectra novus. Year 2006. Personally, i think the fuel consumption is very bad.
Any other way to help me rectify the problem?
The driving experience is superb minus the fuel drinking.
Thank you.

How bad is "bad"? Mind to giv ur FC in "km/l" value?

With the right "touch-up" on the engine, 10 or 11km/l is never a problm even on city driving. While 15km/l is "achive-able" on highway cruising.

p/s: Im a Spectra owner as well, since 2003.

hmm with 121bhp and 157nm torque (spectra5 1.6cvvt)..I think it's quite powerful compare to others. Toyota altis 1.6 (108hp),Nissan latio(109hp).Can reach 200kmh easily and fc not so bad.

I'm using 2006 Kia Spectra. No problem at all.
Can go up to 170km/h. The heavy body and
good absorber makes it stable even whe
speeding. I cruising at no problem at all.
the driving experience is good also.

Who said fuel consumption is bad? I use it
and can say that it's almost the same as Wira 1.6.
Otherwise, it's 1.6.

Spare part expensive? Timing belt set only cost around
RM165. Does it expensive?
