Kembara 4WD OR 2WD

how do i find out if my kembara is using 4wd or 2wd? I got one switch on the right hand side near the steering which says center differentiate lock or something like that with a X and 4 tires. Does this means i can activate my 4wd if i want to?

Try flooring your car on a wet surface, if it wheelspins its 2wd

Haha but that switch locks your center diff making it a fulltime 4wd, its running 2wd mode for now.

no... kembara got two version... one is fulltime 4wd another one is 2wd...

from what i know....

kembara was fulltime 4wd....but the system was crude unlike evo and impreza controlled by intelligent computer...so the switch was for transfer case lock..means if u stuck in heavy mud...it is better by pushing that button for 4wheel lock...

just bought kembara aerosport 05 dvvt auto for my momma. fc quite rough.. (4wd full time) because me using waja 4g18 (known as real saving on fc engine)

rm40 can go around 150-180km (city driving 75%..highway driving 25%) with level 1/2 aircond running.

but the pleasure driving it is a priceless.. love it. will look forward for 2wd auto tranny.

when the differential lock button is activated.. your driving will be 50% front and 50% rear (power)

when deactivated.. 70/75% front and 20-25% at rear (power)

dats all.

toyota rush is 2wd, but perodua nautica is full time 4wd...same as kembara.
but many consumers has choosen rush obviously cheaper price over nautica as fulltime 4wd is heavy consumption.

Yes, kembara is full time 4WD, but can modify. My mechanic did for 2 of his customer.....
