Hey guys

Had a nasty knock on the front of my evo9
my ARC intercooler's pretty warped because of it
mechanic recommended me to replace it with a stock one since they don't make them any more.

before i decide on the above
i was wondering if you guys have any brands of bolt-on intercoolers to recommend

thanks in advance people.

Trust cooling product is the best among the japan brand for cooling efficiency, i'm using intercooler n oil cooler.

is it a bolt-on intercooler?
what's the rough cost for that?

best to call N1 racing and check? I believe they have a PnP solution for your Evo. I use a Greddy 31V tube and fin on my boat as well.

Anybody have any experience on AMS or ETS. It seems like both of these intercooler have good review especially ETS. Btw if not mistaken AMS is using garret core which is good.

How much does the AMS or ETS ones cost and where to find in KL?

Are there any unbranded intercoolers made Locally or Thailand available here? I need one too and a used unit is costing me around RM1k to RM1.3k for a crap condition.

I think u can go shop around sunway, there r many u can choose from even 2nd goodies.

As far as i know difficult to find AMS or ETS for ready stock. Need to order from US. Visit dragstar for further info. As far as i know they bring in a lot of US product apart from japan

Sorry coelho if i seem to be hijacking your tread. same as you, looking for a replacement intercooler as soon as possible =p

I went to N1 today to ask around, and was recommended 2 intercoolers.
1) HKS - About RM2.6k to RM2.8k, takes 2 month to deliver from Japan.
2) M7 Japan - About RM2k, takes few days to deliver from JB Mutiara.

Is this M7 Japan the same as Trust/greddy last time? I notice from their website a lot of their products were like Trust/greddy (boost control, blow off design etc).

Another shop I went to had an Apexi intercooler with a price tag of RM500. Not sure about this one because the welding works were quite shoddy.

Mistaken Identity, no idea why you dislike my post as un-useful. Is asking questions in forums stupid?

M7/Greddy/Trust came from the same factory. That apexi sure is fake.

sup dawg.
second hand ori evo9 intercoolers go for around 1.2k
so i think the m7 is probably the best value for a brand new bolt aftermarket intercooler after doing some asking around

I'm interested in new greddy spec r but the price now I realize is terrible expensive after bro dawg mentioned hks is 2.6 to 2.8k at N1. Greddy spec r is almost 5k. 2 months delivery still ok if the existing still can be used. Thanks bro dawg!!

you sure about that? cause not all M7 products are rebranded from Greddy/Trust. for example the M7 Air Intake is nothing close to the Greddy/Trust line.

but for RM2k, damn value for money if its a rebranded Greddy/Trust.

hi bro tomicagtr, cheers!
RM5k for Greddy Spec R? *gulp!*

Any chance that this http://www.mutiaramotors.com/mmp-m7-product-cooling-typer.html is the same as the Greddy Spec R you talking about? Cause I just placed an order for this.

ARC is back from the dead so can still get parts. But expect similar if not more expansive pricing than the Greddy Spec R

From the same factory don't mean they're the same, just mean they have the same quality...
Now most value for money is M7 part.
