Individual Throttle Bodies

Any special technic to tune the itb? I mean at the butterfly valve, at least fine tune to open full wild & close shut seal. Or I think too much actually just use the spanner tighten up any loosen nut will do? :P

The butterfly can be adjust with a screw driver.

i m very dissapointed wit the setup... dunno wat wen wrong... i can feel the pulling power but wen i dyno tune my safc it only show small increase in power only... 3bhp to b exact n 0.6 for torque... do i need fuel pump n fuel regulator or mayb extra inhector???

Your butterfly is too big,,, for kelisa engine i would recommend max 35mm.

H2zero,
I forgot what is exact measurement but there are 2 sizes of TOyota 4AG 20V ITBs

The blacktop having a bigger diameter than silvertop by about 2~3mm.

You can find them sparingly at the local chop shop.

if my car wen i full throttle then suddenly like no power n car seems like cannot go n choke does it mean tat not enough fuel??? it only happen sometimes...
I suspect you have too much air, too little v/e and too little breathing time.

WIth 4 thorttle, tHe power band is now shifter on the upper end.

You have to rev higher to unleash that power.

But when you rev higher, your cams is out of breath (not able to breath fast enough) because air pressure is constant but air intake time has decresed.

You might want to drecrese throttle dia. size or stuff in wider cams.

And at later stage you may need a little more fueling but I think you don't need upgrade fuel pump. The regulator and SAFC will do the job quite well

I was told Chop shop does not sell the throttles alone you need to get the whole engine....

Joeker thanks for the input i think they are 42 & 45 respectively...

let me correct myself

Silvertop : 45mm tappered into a 43mm plate
Blacktop : 48mm tappered into a 45mm plate myself...

Joeker

i m plannin to get higher cams for my car... but dunno wat degree suits my car... n i think is very hard to find smaller itb... besides tat may i know wats the benefit of longer/shorter trumpet???

I just wondering do your guys modify Toyota Corolla AE101 throttle body can install in Proton Wria 1.6XLi with 4G92 SOHC engine?

Depends on you really. If you go 304, you'll need to match your gear ratios and you'll need some sort of management for fuelling and ignition.

I think you get get away with 26x cams.

The trumper size will affect air pressure.

Longer and narrower trumpet dia. will give you higher intake v/e at low & mid range but might bottle neck at hi-revs.

WHile shorter and wider trumpet dia. will give you poor response at low & mid revs but good power at hi-revs.

Yes, it can be done.

Alot of MIVECs, VTEC have dont it before.

You need to custom fabricate an alloy adapter to fit the 101's tb into the 92 head.

If it can be fitted. Will effect the ECU, tell the ECU doing wrong thing. How really AE101 T/B work and talk communicate with Mitsubishi ECU and TCU. Really doubt about it but worth to try since Toyota Corolla AE101 / AE111 seldom facing problem...

Your guys know where can I do that? I'm looking for a trusted, experience mechanics to mod it to my car. Now my car was using Perdana Throttle Body. Some problem happen and FC high a bit.

gud thread. nway hv anybody done ITB on turbo enjin? is it possible?

Thats what i'd like to know. What type of gains if use ITB on turbocharged engines?

Using ITB, FC will be much more higher than a single throttle body!

Not necesary la will be much higher la. Mayb slightly higher la. If it is so much higher then something is wrong with ur settings.

how to fit a quad throttle into a 4g93?? it has a computer box at the air filter box...
if you can do if wats the diameter of the throttle bodies??
pm me the cost man i olso wanna do for my gti..

I don't think there would be much difference since in Turbo the air is already forced in. It could be a wast of money.

Anything is possible, the only problem is whether the idea worth considering or not. Don't expect to get a huge gain though.
