i have already cancelled the insurance on my old car.

now i just bought a new car and have already insured it.

is it possible to transfer my NCD from to my new car, in order to get a rebate?

can i take my old car cover note which has been cancelled,
and bring it to my new car insurance agent to get ncd refund

what is the procedure ?

just tell ur new insurance company that u want to carry forward ur NCD..they'll arrange everything from there..no need letters or what so ever..after u get ur new insurance statement double check in case they forget..

IMO, if you've cancelled your insurance policy, i dont think you can get your NCB back. unless if you let your insurance policy running until it expires, it's a different case.

How much is your NCD?

If you have renewed your insurance at least once (ie when you renewed, you got you 25%), yes you can.

Just go to the insurance office tell them you want to transfer and then they will get something like the car insurance policy and chop on it stating the last NCD. Present this to the new insurance company. I did this way back in early 2000. So things may change. Just ask the new insurance company what do the require.

regards,

Yep, exactly that to do. Just sign the NCD withdrawal form, transer it to your new insurance. Then ifyou have paid your new insurance in full they will refund you the difference. Get the previous insurer to sign and stamp on your form to indicate the NCD yo have. Procedure still the same.

if u have cancelled the previous policy, just present the previous policy to new insurance company...they will honour u the ncd entitled as per the day u cancelled yr previous policy.

the new insurance shall refund u pro-rately according to yr ncd entitlement. usually yr new car salesman will help to do it....
